It's not really the looks, it's the insides.
It's kinda hard to see 50 year olds doing gymnastics.
Actually that's only because we're so fat.... but you get the point.

Not even the healthier environment shields Mario from the effects of too much pasta.

Not even the healthier environment shields Mario from the effects of too much pasta. But exercising daily can.

Eventually there gonna have to make Mario look a little old. Mabey the next next gen.
Give Yoshi a more adult composure and have Bowser look crazy psycho.

Give Yoshi a more adult composure and have Bowser look crazy psycho. They kinda did that with SSBM. Giving Yoshi a more dinosaur-like posture and making Bowser look more like an animal.

If they start making Mario and crew look older, they will also have to start thinking about the next generation of characters to go with them. And I don't think anyone wants Mario to be replaced because of age.

I highly doubt that will happen. I really can't think of one instance where an animated character has continuosly aged.

Some comic strip characters age, but yeah. Aging well-known characters like the Mario crew would just alienate people.

I realized how similar this is to those ancient comic books.
Superman never ages, the series just gets remixed about every decade (comics, cartoons, movies).
We could be the holy generation! The first ones to see the birth and resurrection of the Mario series!
Mario in actual 3D gaming systems....
The next gens children.

What's with that vote thing up there? It's possible that the brothers are twins, but Luigi has been portraid numerous times as the younger sibling in just about every game I've played. I guess Mario could have just come out first but then....This kind of brings us back to that whole stork thing dosn't it..........

I think the storks bag prevents aging(Its a long trip),and since we know YI took place over several days ,mario would be older than luigi even thouh they were origenely ment to be twins(the sports game theory would also help).

Twins have been known to be born nearly a full day apart from each other. It could be alot more than 5 minutes.

Not a week. A day, at most. Although, I think its only a few hours. Besides, they have no features that suggest Mario is older than Luigi by any large period of time. They could make them older with another passing through time, this one to the future though...
