Goombas and koopas are allied, that's a fact. Yes it is a "fact". But is it a true fact or a false fact? I'm just wanting to make sure. Have any proof? I'm not saying they're not allies, just want to see some proof.... |

In PM there's a goomba selling items in Bowser's castle in PM. During on of the scenes in SMRPG, when Bowser has all his troops lined up, there's a row of goombas. Same thing when his troopa are boarding the ship in MLSS. A paragoomba acts as a messenger in one of the cutscenes in PM:TTYD. There's a goomba in the throne room at the begining of SPP. Need I go on?

Here is my theory about the marioverse
I think Koopas and Yoshis are somehow related because
1: They are very similar
2:They both live or lived on Dinosaur Island
3:They look similar
I think that Koopas evolved from the Yoshis and went to settle on another part of Dinosaur Island
Then many years later humans, toads, and other creatures began to settle in what later became TMK.
Kamek (the current leader of the Koopas) had a vision that the humans would be trouble for them and tried to get the Yoshis help. But the Yoshis would do no such thing so the Koopas waged a war which ended with the Yoshis victorious and the Koopas trapped in one small area. Kamek then kidnaped the Baby Mario Bros. (or tried) and ended with the Yoshis winning again. Later, Kamek began plotting again and during that time the Mario Bros. were kept in their houses. When Kamek came to the Mushroom Kingdom again he kidnapped Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, Baby DK, Baby Wario, and other babies because Bowser had created a time vortex and traveled back in time to tell Kamek what to do (YIDS)In the end the Mario Babies were sent to Brooklyn along with the Baby Wario Bros. and Baby DK. They grew up there and created rivalrys with the Wario Bros. there and later Mario stopped DK from kidnapping girl (Pauline) and had DK (and DK jr.) sent to Africa where DK found a portal to the DK islands and lived there with his son had adventures and was later known as Cranky Kong because he kidnapped Pauline in Brooklyn and went crazy.
Many years later Mario and Luigi find a portal to the Mushroom Kingdom in their sewer pipes (Mario Bros.) at the exact same time Bowser kidnaps Peach, so they rescue her. Then Mario has a dream and SMB2 takes place. Later, he rescues the entire Mushroom Earth from Bowser in Bowser's newly acuired Dark Land (SMB3). Next, Mario and co. take a vacation to Dinosaur Island where they reunite with Yoshi after they find out that Bowser took over the whole Dinosaur Island after he built his underground base next to his crashed Doom Ship. (SMW)
and the rest is just other games that will take year to post all here.

I disagree on the Yoshis=Koopas thing, because they don't have any similarities other than being reptiles and Bowser brought his Koopas to Dinosaur Land.

But you are forgeting that Yoshi and Bowser can both hold fire in thier stomachs and then exhale it and both are famous for thier ground pounds so it is more of a Yoshi=Bowser or Bowser=Yoshi and then Bowser=Koopas thing

Almost anyone in the Mario World can do a ground pound, so that doesn't prove anything. As for the fire breath, that is one similarity, but still, remember Yoshi can only do it with a red or flashing Koopa shell, Power Flower, or a Smash Ball.

I'm working on a Timeline, right now and I'll probably post it in a day or two. I just wanted everyone to know that I'll be using real world months and years, because we don't know what tMK bases there time on(like BC/AD for us). Also I don't think that Koopas and Yoshis are related in any way other that both being reptiles.

1957 - Kamek, Toadsworth, (Cranky)Donkey Kong & (the Original)Yoshi are born.
1979 - Bowser & (Modern)Yoshi are born.
1981- Mario & Luigi are born. The events of "Yoshi's Island" take place. Wario & Waluigi are also born.
1982- Peach & Daisy are born.
1984-Shroob Invasion begins, and the events of "Mario & Luigi:PiT (Past)" takes place.
1985- Bowser traps Yoshi's Island in a Picture Book.
1992- Mario's family moves to Mushroom City, so the Bros. can have a better education. DK(Jr.) is born.
1998- Mario meets Pauline. The Mario's get temporary jobs as Construction Workers. One day, when Mario brought Pauline to work, a crazed Kong escaped from the Zoo and carried her to the top of the Skyscraper that was under construction. Mario, was forced to climb steel girders and dodge rolling Barrels to rescue the Damsel-in-distress. After being re-captured by Mario, Cranky was going to be sent back to the Mushroom City Zoo, but his son managed to save him and they both returned to DK Isles. These "events" cost Mario his job, and Luigi wouldn't abandon his brother, so after a failed attempt as a Wrecking Crew, they founded Mario Bros. Plumbing. Mario and Pauline split-up for unknown reasons!
1999- The Mario Bros. get hired to do some standard maintenance in Toad Town sewers, when strange creatures began to attack them! Meanwhile, on the surface, Bowser had launched his first Invasion of the Mushroom Kingdom, destroying Toad Town, kidnapping the Princess, and turning most of the Kingdoms inhabitants into statues! When the Plumbers returned to the surface they found the city in Ruins, luckily one of the surviving Toads told them what had happened and the Super Mario Bros. first, legendary Journey began. Unfortunately, the Koopa King doesn't give up easy and he quickly launched a Counter-Attack... Only to be thwarted yet again! Later that year, Mario, Luigi and their New Friends(Princess Peach and Toad) help liberate SubCon from the oppressive Wart. The Subconians make Mario and his friends believe it was a dream. Toad Town reconstruction begins.
2000- Bowser lures the Brothers away from Princess Peach's Castle by attacking the eastern part of the Kingdom, with the Help of his Seven Koopalings! While on their Adventure, Bowser kidnapped the Princess yet again, and the Plumbers where forced to face the Koopa King in Dark Land. After being rescued AGAIN, the Princess decided that she and the Brothers should take a, well deserved, Vacation to Dinosaur Land. However, the Princess is captured AGAIN, and Bowser is defeated AGAIN. Toad Town reconstruction is finished.
2001- They finish their Vacation, and when they return Peach buy's the Mario Brothers an Island(Appropriately titled "Mario Land"), and Mario(Not Luigi!) is sent to rescue the ruler of Neighboring Kingdom of Sarrasaland, Princess Daisy, from Tatanga. He returns to his Isle to find that Luigi has been given the boot, and their castle was captured by Wario! Mario is forced to find the 6 Golden Coins that Wario, foolishly, hid outside the Castle. Wario is defeated and goes on his own quest for Treasure, leading him to Kitchen Island. Smithy's Gang invades Amana(The Mushroom World) and the Star Road(A bridge between Star Haven and Amana) is broken into Seven Shards. Mario, Geno(A Star Kid), Mallow(The Prince of the Nimbus Kingdom), Princess Peach and, for the first time, Bowser, must team up to defeat Smithy and rebuild Star Road. Bowser learns of Star Haven and begins plotting. Later this year, the first Mario Kart Races(Named after Mario & Luigi's heroics) are held. Mario sells his Island.
2002- Princess Peach invites Mario to her castle to share a Cake, but Bowser steals the Power Stars that protect Peach's Castle, he seals them inside the Paintings hung throughout the castle and even holds the Princess hostage! Mario managed to recover all 120 Power Stars, and he defeats the Koopa King once again. Mario and Co. have a party to decide who is the Superstar, and the second Mario Kart(64) Races are held.

That is a pretty good time line. The only thing that I found wrong with it is that I don't think Mario and Luigi grew up in the Mushroom Kingdom, but I guess everyone has their own theory. I hope it continues to include more recent games

Thanks KingKoopa, I still stick with the theory they grew up in TMK though, but, to each his own! I would have finished but James Bond was on TV and I didn't want to pass it up. I'll post the rest soon!

Also, does anyone know whatever happened to Kamikaze, Claws, Toomai, Clive, and Yoshi Master? I mean Kamikaze & Claws were Admins, and Yoshi Master is the Global Admin! I seriously hope it's not just me, KingKoopa, ShadowGoomba, & MB364. Oh, well you guys are cool so I'm fine:)
