...Wow, I had a story like that I was working on a while ago! Only it's wasn't Bowser, but one of his ancestors. He was going to force the armored koopas to join his army in order to help him take over the Mushroom world but they refused to work for him. So the Koopa King banished them from Darkland and made them set out on a quest to find a new country to live in. But this proves to be hard because the citizens of the Mushroom World have a fear and prejudice of the armored koopas, because of the Koopa Klans evil reputation. the they are all forced to live exciled in there own country and forbidden to come out. ----------- I may post the first two pages of the comic I was working on for this story later.

Hybrid usually refers to the offspring of two different species. But Bowser seems to be the same species as hos children so I think they are a separate species from both regular koopas and dragons. Although that may have been the origin of the armored koopa...

So have we agreed that Bowser is a member of a species of Koopa that includes several other members who, for some reason, haven't shown themselves?

Besides the shell and body structure they ( Bowser and kids ) hardly look like Koopas.

But Bowser's last name is Koopa and he is refereed to as the Koopa King. Also his children are called koopalings (or koopa kids) Which I would think is the name for a young koopa (i.e baby ducks are ducklings).

I agree he's a koopa but you know being king over something doesn't exactly mean your what you rule.
Like a king ruling over slaves.

We can call a triceratops a dinosaur and a tyrannosaurus rex a dinosaur, but they're very different animals. Likewise, we can call Bowser a Koopa and Koops a Koopa, but they're very different animals.
Maybe?

They probably all descended from an original Koopa species and evolved into the various Koopas we see today. So they're all related, but some only distantly. Bowser's species grew to be the largest and most powerful, so they began a dynasty of rulers.

I had a Turtwig. It evolved into Grotle, then into Torterra. Torterra is above.

I don't like this whole "Junior is a clone" idea. Bowser and Jr. have a real bond. I mean, look at what Jr. says at the end of SMS. "When I grow up, I wanna beat that Mario!" Bowser was the one that introduced Jr. to Mario. And, Jr. thought Peach was his MOTHER, for Pete's sake! He even still seems to believe it in Superstar Baseball. He calls Peach "Mama" if he is challenged.

I don't believe Jr. is a clone either, but to be the devil's advocate I'll just say that they would share a bond if he was a clone as well. And I don't really see where you're getting at with the Peach comment.

Me neither but since Bowser Jr. spent some time around the Piantas maybe he got stupid like them (I mean Mario and SM look nothing alike)

True, but in color they look nothing alike. (Maybe piantas and Nokis are color blind?)
