Anything could have happened between when Wario came to Mushroom World and SML2.

Wario isn't much of a jumper. And I don't think I've ever sen Waluigi jump outside of a Mario Party game, where everyone has the exact same abilities.

Waluigi could do the Super Jump in Baseball.

Ha ah I like that...Or like Fable or Black and White Their jumping abilities aren't obtained with any outside influence. It's completely natural. Mario and Luigi just seem like natural, playful energetic beings. As for contemplating what they are exactly that's for Fan Fiction I think, not here.

They seem to have super strenth as well. Think about how Mario could toss Bowser around in SM64 or rip Gooper Bloobers are off in SMS. Not sure about Luigi though...

Luigi could throw Bowser in SM64DS as well. But he's probably weaker than Mario is.

The influence of star power was at work.

That could be the reason. I don't think we've seen the bros. display super strength anywhere else.

I always tought that Mario and Luigi were so powerfull on the Mushroom Kingdom because it has less gravity than Earth.

Their jumping abilities do suggest that they're not used to low(er) gravity.

Acourding to some estimation, Mario can jump 20 feet in the air in Super Mario Bros.
6 feet is the limit.
There might be a little less gravity in the Mushroom World and some star power but that's it.

But there are some in the Mushroom Kingdom who can't jump abnormally high at all. Take the Toads in SMRPG, for instance. Their jumping abilites seemed severely hampered by gravity. I think star power might be the answer.
