You know Dry Dry Outpost could be more around the "middle" of the desert. That does make sense. Then on the other side could be a lot of desert areas from other games.

YM has a good point. Nintendo wouldn't bother to include a big empty area that plays absoltuly no role in the game. Also, look at the background of dry dry desert. It looks alot bigger then a 7x7 plain, no? In fact all the places in PM look like that.

It's also possible, as was mentioned earlier, that many of the desert areas from other Mario games are in that desert area, such as Desert Hills, the Kalamari Desert, the Gritzy Desert, etc. And if the PiT area is the PM area, then the Gritzy Desert is certainly near the Dry Dry Desert.

I don't think there's any other games included in Dry Dry Desert. I mean it does end at the mountains.
Kalamari Desert and Desert Hills seem around the same place in a much larger desert somewhere else.

I'm partial to placing all of the sports/party/other RPG deserts in and around Dry Dry Desert.
What does everyone else think?

It is unlikely to have multiple identical climate zones.

It think Desert Hill/Desert Land is just the name of the place where the Kalimari Desert is located. Dry Dry Desert seems to be a lot more barren the other deserts we've seen, and with different animals too, lots of pokeys and bandits.

Well, they could still be located in the same general region. DDD might receive less moisture because of a mountain or something.

True. You got that whole Mt. Rugged area just to the east. Which is obviously...well a moutian.

Plus the Shiver Region to the north and north west.

I don't think the Shiver Region is close enough, considering how you've got Koopa Road between it and the desert.

No I mean to the right, the Mountains extend to the sea, blocking off the desert.

So, Kalamari Desert and Desert Hill and roughly same area, but Dry Dry Desert is a secluded region of the mushroom kingdom.

I believe the Koopahari Desert is to the south-west of the Mushroom Kingdom. Dry Dry Desert is located in the east about 120 miles of the Koopa Kingdom border and roughly 100 miles south of Giant Land.
