Dry Bones can be killed with fire and explosions, Only in the Paper Mario series. Other times fire had no effect at all.

Only in the Paper Mario series. Other times fire had no effect at all. And in SMRPG and M&L:PIT. Possibly also in Superstar Saga. They can't come back to life after killing them with fire or explosions.

But they come back to life from anyother attack.

Still, it's not as good as being entirely invincible like Ghost Goombas.

But they are ghost and have trouble attacking Mario with no real connection to the world. They are more like boos with less magical ability. The Dry bones might work for someone else if they were promised imortality, but why would any kind of ghost work for anyone?

The Dry bones might work for someone else if they were promised imortality, but why would any kind of ghost work for anyone? Boos have no trouble attacking Mario directly and work for Bowser. They could work for the same reason retired folk do: to feel like they're useful for something. Besides, Ghost Goombas can also hurt Mario just fine in SML2.

I think you just want goombas to be supperior (SP) look in an RPG GG would be easy to kill

Not really. I just think that something invincible would be better than something that can be stunned or possibly beaten relatively easily. Goombas are only weak in their living form. Plus, there are a ton of Goombas in Rougeport and only one Koopa. If the Thousand-Year Door was underneath Petalburg or Koopa Village, I could understand. But it's not. Dry Bones are easy to kill in RPG's too. And, they can be killed in all of the platformers as well. (although difficult)

invicible in SMB3, trust me I've tried.
Also your not thinking of the time the cataclsm occured, 1000 years, ago. So what lives in rouge port now doesn't matter

Have you tried with hammers? Those things have killed everything I tried them on. I think it's weird that the entire population is gone though. No matter what happens, you will always have ancestors in some form or another.

They can't die because the four heroes were alive. And where's your evidence in saying only one Goomba lives there?

Not eveyone died, the people that survived moved away and never came back.

But that can't explain everyone. A lot of people are so poor they can't move. ex: Huricane Katrina

The palace of shadow was built over the old city, everyone that hadn't escaped would have perished.

LD is right, if they had GG's in an RPG, they would be pretty easy to kill, most likely. Also, some techniques that can be used on DBs can't be used on GGs, due to it being a different game...
EDIT: Also, Ghost Goombas can also be called Boombas... That's what I call them...
