Why wouldn't the star do that to Mario too though?

Because he's the one that's using it.
Magic can be programmed like a computer, do something and the magic creates an outcome. Starmen are "programmed" not to harm the user.

An odd concept, but it does make sense.

Makes sense to me. What dosn't make sense is how everything seems to be giving things cancer lately....:/

Radiation causes cancer. Simple as that. Also what causes it is neuclear fallout, obesity, smoking, and a lot of other causes. It's a shame it's so common.

Even gravity and magic cause cancer too? What's next? Air and watter??

If it's infected. Magic probably too since it's such a powerful force. But not gravity. Only the releasing of protons.

So then, power causes cancer?....And I thought you said small planetoids with high gravitational pull caused cancer.....

Post by shadowgoomba on Apr 28, 2007 17:07:44 GMT -5
No. The planetoids would have to be so dense that they burst out protons to make room. These protons infect a cell, the cell multiplies, and cancer occurs. And yes, power can cause cancer. But this really should stay in the Satellites topic.

What dose power magic and cancer have to do with satellites???

Nothing, really, it's just we shouldn't talk about the same thing in two topics.

Well this is the magic topic. I guess we should stop talking about it in the other topic. :/

Now I don't think mushrooms are magic because in the RPGs mushrooms heal you instead of makeing you bigger.

I don't think stars would give non-users cancer. I think they would probably just disintergrate in their hands if they touched a starman.

I don't think magic gives you cancer at all.. Unless its some kind of magic made especialy to give you cancer, but I don't think Nintendo would put magic like that in a game.

Also, it doesn't show things like blood resulting from a Bob-omb attack, but that undoubtebly happened. I don't think all magic causes cancer, just certain types of energy fields. Also, the mushrooms have to be somewhat magic because they move on their own, deliver instant results, and have the capability to do amazing things, such as bring people back to life and electrify them. Also, in SMB, Super Mushrooms were called Magic Mushrooms.

Weather 1-up mushrooms actuly bring you back to life is debatable. But if they were called magic mushrooms in SMB, than I guess they could be magic.

I assume the 1up shroom just wake you after you've been knocked out, like in M&L. The Life shroom from PM2 might work differently, bringing you back to life after you've died. I recall one of the fetch-quests from the help desk in PM2 needing you to get a life shroom for the puni elder because she was worried about the fact she getting old.

Yes, the Puni elder did ask for that. Also so did Koopa Koot from the first Paper Mario.
