Eh, that's just one of those thing that you've got to take on fate, considering earth isn't exactly known for having much magic. I guess there's just somthing different about the Mario demention that makes magic alot more prominet.

I really don't think there's anything to talk about. It exists, if we need it to explain something it's in the relevant topic, we live with it.

Yeah, magic is too general to just start talking about.

Agreed. This topic really isn't necessary. I'm going to lock it if no worthy reason for it to be around pops up in the next few days.

Taken from the wonderful series of Eragon:
Magic, the manipulation of energy by thinking of the task you want to do. You can gather magic from nature (plants/animals life), from energy (wind/fire), or wild magic (in this case Power Stars). If you're born with magic you can use it depending on your skill and/or if you train.
I'll probably post more.

From wikipedia..:/
Magic and sorcery are the influencing of events, objects, people and physical phenomena by mystical, paranormal or supernatural means. The terms can also refer to the practices employed by a person to wield this influence, and to beliefs that explain various events and phenomena in such terms

Great, we've defined it now, but I still think magic is available in too many places to cover it all in one topic. We might need an entire forum for that...

Hmm. Your right. This is a tough one. I think i'd be easier to just chalk it up to magic...:/

What kind of magic has been used? I've seen magickoopas: Heal, power up stats, turn invisible, electrefy themselves, shoot random geometric shapes that turn blocks into enemys, launch fire rings, and ride brooms.

Make blocks, all the power-ups, a lot of the badges, all the abilities from SMRPG, stars with the ability to do almost anything, make invincible, shoot lightning bolts, counter attacks, dodge attacks, enlarge, shrink, make dizzy, make confused, unleash darkness, make poisoned, cancel effects, Mario, Luigi, and Wario's ability to absorb things, levitation, making enemies appear from nowhere, teleportation, and a whole lot more. Like I said, magic is to general to talk about.

Some of that stuff is in game stuff, like the badges and the absorbing power.

Absorbing can't be; it would defeat the purpose of power-ups.

absorbing power IS magic, and not in game stuff.

That's essentially what I just said.

Do you mean getting powers from items is a result of magic, of the items dissapearing after he touches them is a result of magic?

Both.

It really depends on which item your talking about. Don't mention fireflower here cause I'm sure there's alredy a topic about it...:/

Where?
Anyway, the stars make you invinsable. I think that stars give out radiation and protects you from it, thus killing all enemys who come in contact with you and giveing cancer to the ones that don't.
