I don't think anybody here ever took the comics cannon.
Early when they where 2 sounds better to me.

The only comics that could have a slight chance of being cannon are the Super Mario Adventures comics.
The Super Mario Kun comics would be considered cannon, but from what I've heard, they get incredibly weird at times and make almost no sense.
Other then that that, the rest of the comics, like the ones published by Valiant are ridiculously stupid and about as bad as the cartoons when it comes to having anything to do with the games

So is the general opinion for or against any of the comics becoming canon?

Everything that's in English.

I'm personally in favor in the Nintendo Power series. They're the only (and I mean only) official things that have ever tried to shed some light on the actual detail of the game's storylines. Accept, of course, the mangas, which we can't even read anyway.

Yeah, I guess your right. Those are the only two that accually have anything to do with specific games. All the other comics just deal with these stories nobody's ever heard of. And besides, you can't get any more offical then Nintendo Power. It's not like some third party company like DIC or Valiant, who has, pretty much free rule over what the storyline will be.

Exactly.

Therefore, I think we should at least accept the NP comics. This means accepting that Mario left the Mushroom Dimension at about age three. Is this okay with everyone?

Fine with me.

Are there any other English comics that we should consider?

I don't know of any other english comics. I do know there are a ton of Japanese mangas besides Super Mario Kun that really go in depth of every little aspect of the games (especialy M&L) but I've never read them, nor could I understand them, so we really can't count those.

Until there are official English versions of those mangas (which will probably never happen), I don't consider them canon in the English Marioverse. In the Japanese Marioverse, however, they're definitely canon.

But we can't go around saying there are two different types of Marioverces just because they're in different languages!

None of us can read Japanese, either. How would we understand them?
