Well no. They don't show what he did to him. It could've been any number of things: being hit head-on, being hit but a shell, being stomped on, etc.

...or Magic. Just saying, no other theory can explain his apparent size discrepancy except maybe getting crushed(ala BiS), but if that was the case he could change back whenever he wanted.

Guys I think I've done it! I found a really nice cleaned up version of that official height chart today and brought it into photoshop to measure the size of Mario. Then I took that number and divided it by 61 inches, (Mario's officially stated height.) I took the resulting number and multiplied it by the heights in the pictures of the other characters. I didn't bother to do all of them, but I can now say with fair certainty that Bowser is 8'8 and Luigi is 5'8. If you want to figure out some other characters, use this picture: i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/lucipep/Size_chart.jpg-Use the measure tool function in Photoshop to measure from the top of the head to the bottom blue line. -Put that number in a calculator and multiply by 52.540913006029285099052540913006 -That will give you height in inches. You might want to round up so you don't end up with 20 decimal places  |

Donkey Kong is only a little taller than Luigi? Luigi is taller than me? I'm only a few inches short of a foot shorter than a fully grown gorilla?

In reality, gorillas are usually shorter than people (but they weigh a lot more) so DK is actually pretty big for a gorilla.
