I dismiss the Yoshi from the party and sports games, but the SM64DS one still irks me.

I'm skeptical about changing Mario 64's story. I really don't think Yoshi freed them from being locked in some room or even helping at all.

I dunno. I guess SM64DS is along the lines of the Super Mario Advance games. They both change things, so it's just a matter of whether you want to accept the new editions as true.

I view them as though they're just showing us things we didn't see before. So I always accept the newest version.

Maybe Yoshis shrink a little as they get older (as humans sometimes do). That could be why Yoshi is smaller than he used to be.

Perhaps. But does that mean that Yoshi is elderly by his species' standards? And how does that account for him being upright all of a sudden?

Wait wait wait: In Sunshine Mario carried FLUDD while on Yoshi. That should make a big weight distribution problem. Yoshi isn't standing upright as more to leaning back slightly.

No, actually he stands completely erect when he's not carrying anything at all.

We're mostly talking about the SM64DS Yoshi here.

Sorry to stray but according to what I see in SMS I think Mario is a wee but shorter then 5', I always thought maybe in the 4 foot, maybe as short as three feet range. Luigi is probably about Peach's height...which I'm guessing is around 5 feet.

And what the heck is wrong with Dwarfism anyway? Anyhow just cause he's short doesn't mean he's a midget, That's just stupid. That means all the toads are midgets too, and all the Beans, anyone who isn't a tallest...And Il Piantissimo... Don't be so scared of Mario being so short, it's a fact. He has so many other great gifts to make up for it. <3 In the Mario Verse there are most likely marked differences between a deformed Human Tallest with Dwarfism and someone of Mario and Luigi's race.

Yeah, Mario is probably pretty short. I'd say Peach is fairly tall, though.

Mario IS short. It's canon. But we love him anyway...we should accept him the way he is.
