Well at least you can break a piece off a mushroom. Try doing that with a shell that's as hard as bone.

...
That's true...
*places Megashroom on table, which starts to bow*
But I doubt that Mario would've had that kind of patience to eat the whole thing piece by piece when he first discovered it way back in NSMBDS, and I doubt that it's powers would be able to work unless the entire thing was eaten.
*table legs give way, and Megashroom falls on my foot*
0_o;;;
If you'll excuse me, I'll be rolling all over the floor, screaming like a Raving Rabbid.
*does so*
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!

Mega Mushrooms must taste like bacon because if it tasted bad Mario probably wouldn't have eaten it as fast.

We don't know if Mario likes bacon at all or how fast he even ate the dang mushroom. Why is that even relevant?

Bacon was a relevant term. If you want to take it that literally then just replace bacon with pasta. Not only that but that wasn't supposed to be a serious post.

Alright. Since we seem to have a new set of members with absolutely NOTHING to talk about, I'd say it's high time we reopen discussion on the Yoshis and see what everyone else has to say.
First order of Business: magnets The Tongue. How does it work?

Sticky barb thing at the end. Didn't ya notice? The part at the end is bigger than the rest and I guess its sticky. If you need a real life example, just look at frog tongues

Well, I'm not so much questioning why it's sticky so much as how strong it is. I mean, I know the tongue is THE strongest muscle in the human body just by the sheer amount of training it goes through just by eating and talking, but Yoshi's tongue is just RIDICULOUS.
In Yoshi's Island, it's revealed that Yoshis can swallow nearly every enemy in the game, bar those in the Piranha Plant family. Even Fat Guys. In Yoshi's Story, despite the fact that the Yoshis you play as are newborns, they are even able to lift THEMSELVES by their tongue and PROPEL THEMSELVES UPWARD in a single motion.
I don't care if Wartortles can live to be 10,000 years old, that is bigger hax than the entire Pokemon franchise.

But who would want to keep a Wartortle anyways? Blastoise is where its at. But yeah, Yoshi tounges are incredibly strong to the point of OPness. Too bad Yoshi is incredibly low tier. Anyways, perhaps the strength of the tongue has to do with their eating habits? I mean, something has to get stronger when you eat things twice your size.

Yoshi also has the ability to pull giant platforms and walls with his tongue in Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Do we have any more examples of his amazing feats of strength?

His legs... they defy gravity by swinging while Yoshi makes a hmmmm HMMMMMM sound. Not as strong as his tongue but still.

I always thought that was just him kicking his legs so fast, the wind cancelled his momentum.

Also Yoshi travels through space and can breathe perfectly fine without a Luma giving him spinny powers. He must be an evil eldrich abomination that the Koopas sealed away long ago in an egg to keep it from eating everything in sight. I mean, Bowser was only able to trap Yoshi in an egg. HE COULDNT KILL HIM.

But who would want to keep a Wartortle anyways? Blastoise is where its at. I would keep a Wartortle most definetely. I prefer Wartortle to Blastoise, it looks cooler and Blastoise is ugly. Wartortle is also my second favourite pokemon after Golem.

Alright, sorry for derailing the topic, but lets try to get back to talking about Yoshis. Yoshis seem to have a built in saddle and shoes when they are born. Are the shoes just their feet and the saddle just some kind of birthmark?

...We're not friends anymore > ------ But seriously, the baby yoshis in SMW are born without shoes and saddles. I always felt like the baby yoshis in Yoshi's Story didn't really look like newborns. Since yoshis have the ability to turn back into eggs, maybe they were just sleeping or something...

Alright, sorry for derailing the topic, but lets try to get back to talking about Yoshis. Yoshis seem to have a built in saddle and shoes when they are born. Are the shoes just their feet and the saddle just some kind of birthmark? People and creatures in the Mushroom World seem to be born with clothes all the time. Mario and Luigi are the ur-example, seeing how they were born with their hats on. Koopa Troopas are another good one as their shells are entirely removable like shirts even though it's implied they have them since birth. You might notice that when a a baby Yoshi hatches from its egg, it's already wearing shoes. In Yoshi's Story, the baby Yoshi protagonists also come with saddles upon hatching. All this goes in accordance with the previous examples. Incidentally, these examples are all part of why I consider the Toad's caps to be removable as well.

Ok, so I honestly think thatToads can remove their caps but there isn't any proof for that in games yet so idk. Koopa shells are already shown to come off and considering that it sould seem to be very inconvenient for someone to be born with a huge and hard shell that fits them forever. I mean I guess real life turtles do it but those don't exactly come off. Until we see Koopa Birth I guess we will never know.
Ok now about Japan...
I guess it really depends. How badly do you want to go? What would you do otherwise? Would you be content with that alternative?
Also, as long as you bring a bunch of good games you should be able to last 10 months. I mean I'm pretty sure you could last on the Ambassador games and the games that came out last year alone, and I'm sure your collection is larger than that. Then there is always emulators or whatever but that is just if you get bored really fast.
Anyways, there is a quote that I am particularly fond of that relates to this.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain
