As always the evil guy in the game put a curse on the people. If I remember right Tatanga made all the Sarasaland people bad or something.

K.K. your right in kongs and kremlins being the marioverse at some point because in the new game super mario strikers,kremlins are your golies,diddy and donky kongs are the only apes in the marioverse meaning that tthey come from another world or dimension like earth is a possibility,earthbound takes place on earth

Now the DK World & Mario World are not somehow associated or connected, but how do you think each character gets back and forth from Mushroom Kingdom to Donkey Kong Country?
Do you think that (perhaps, like in the orig Mario party game to use as a reference here) there is some sort of central area or meeting place, like a small area or village where all the characters can gather??

Well, the Mushroom Village (or was it Toad Village?) Warp Pipe in Mario Party could take a person all over Mushroom Earth and even to the Kongo Jungle on DK's Earth, so I'd say that it's as good a candidate as any for a universe hub.

Well I think subcon is in a pocket universe so it's not realy part of the mushroom planet, but you could counter that since subcon is called mushroom kingdom 2 in SSBM it is part of the mushroom kingdom, or you could say mario was just dreaming of enemys he saw as a baby, it's your call.

Ok, so one of the big questions on everybodies minds when they think about Mariology is: How many actual races are there? Well, I've thought about it and I've managed to generate a list of who I believe are the main sentient races of the Marioverse. And they are: Toads Beanbeans Koopas Goombas Shyguys Humans Piantas Nokis Yoshis Moles Nimbus's's's (I don't know how to pluralize their name ^_^) Kongs Kremlings And various kinds of anthropoids.
