Whatever it is, it'll definately ruin a lot of the theories on this board...

It's not exactly what I expected it would be like, but it certainly looks interesting...

Some of the boss battles in this game are extremely cool.
Toomai, why do you think this game will be difficult to explain?

It will most likely destroy any possibility of any theories that link Mushroom Earth with real Earth.

Not really. The Mushroom World is considered to be in an alternate dimension. Traveling through space wouldn't be able to disprove that.

Hmm...(long thought) Yeah, I guess that would be true.
In fact, the fact Mario can exist in space proves that space has air and pressure in the Marioverse.

I guess that solves the whole PM2 moon issue.

Wasn't Mario breathing in space in Super Mario Land 2 which was made a decade before PM: TTYD?

I think he was wearing a helmet in that game. I can't remember.

Hey, I just thought of something. If gravity pulls Mario towards an object in any direction, then isn't it impossible to have bottomless pits?

You're right. I've just always assumed that there was eventually a bottom to every pit.

Unless the game has a Donut shaped Planet..

It's not the pit that kills you, it's the landing. The further up you are, the more likely you are to die when you hit the ground. Also, as I said in the "air in space'' thread, Mario can't fall everywhere, just certain places. And from what I've seen, black holes are involed when he can fall.

If I recall the black holes in some planets are like the bottomless pits.
