Hey, I need some input from you guys. I have a bit of a problem. Now, Toad is going to be a primary character in this story of mine. One change that I made is that the mushroom race will be called "Shroomfolk" instead of "Toads". I did this because it's always bothered me that Toad shared his name with his entire race. It's not like there's some guy named "Human" walking around, right (at least, not to my knowledge)? Here's my problem: Yoshis are definitely going to be in my story and keep their name. But, what do I call the primary Green Yoshi that will accompany our heroes? I don't wanna just call him "Yoshi" or "Green Yoshi", if I can avoid it. Any suggestions? Maybe "Yossy"? That's what Yoshi was originally referred to back in the day.

That's just a misspelling of "Yoshi".
Call him "Gellman". It's a funny name.

I still think Yo'ster is the best choice, but that's just my conceited self.

I'm in favor of "Yossy", since it's obscure, at least in the US, but fully supported. IIRC, the SMW Yoshi signs his name as "ヨッシー" (Yoshi/Yossy) on the message in front of his house, which is the only ingame evidence that comes immediately to mind regarding what THE Yoshi calls himself.
"Yoster" isn't bad either, and sounds a bit better to me as a name.

I'm think I'm probably gonna go with Yos'ter. It really strikes a chord with me. But, I'll probably use Yossy as another Yoshi's name, since there will be multiple Yoshi characters. Thanks for the suggestions, you guys. Hopefully, I can put some more bios up soon.

@,ddshoeshowz: Have you read all of the material that was posted on the previous pages yet? If not, then you should give it a read and voice your opinions on it.

I'm starting a fan-fiction. It'll be called... I don't know how to call it. It'll take place in a far future, and the story will be sometimes serious, sometimes not serious at all. The hero will be named Mark, and is - wait, I shouldn't spoil anything.
Anyway, any ideas ? I thought about "Mushroom Kingdom Chronicles" but it's already used.

No ideas for titles without more information about the plot. "Chronicles" is overused unless you can add an interesting modifier or unknown place name to it. There's a reason we say "Lord of the Rings" and not "Red Book of Westmarch".

The story will make a link between the current MK and the future MK, and will be very in-universe (thus all characters will have last names, I'll use the Japanese names whenever I can, etc.). Without spoiling it too much, the plot is about accidental time travel and time itself slowly collapsing due to a certain person who isn't expected at all. The overral story is quite serious, but it's Super Paper Mario serious - as in, it's both serious and comical/cartoon-ish.

It takes place much farther than a generation.
I was thinking about "Past and Present ~ A Timeless Tale".

"Super Mario Bros: The Next Generation." "I long for the sweet peace of the pasture... but the bright colors of the world taunt me! Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! ...The next generation!" ~Bullet Bull
