1. That's not even remotely true. But if it were, it wouldn't be all that farfetched, which brings me to my next point....
2. Nothing is too farfetched for Mario. Just take a good hard look at the whole thing.

*ahem* Right.
So... Sky babies. Yes or no?

I say "maybe".
It's true it's not too nonsensical for the Mario universe (now, if we learnt Toad is an espion from another world who can throw fire from the eyes, THAT'd be too nonsensical), but I'm just going for my theory because I prefer it (it doesn't make more sense than the Sky Babies one).

No, never. I'm still going with the theory that the Mario Brothers and also possibly the Wario brothers came from Brooklyn. Other humans were probably born naturally elsewhere throughout Earth or the Mushroom World.

Sky babies isn't too far-fetched for a Mario game. So unless a better, non-complicated theory that I can agree with comes up, then I'm going with sky babies.

I still think...
1. Mario Brothers were born in a hospital, later delivered to their family via stork.
2. Mario never went to Earth. The end.

No, never. I'm still going with the theory that the Mario Brothers and also possibly the Wario brothers came from Brooklyn. Other humans were probably born naturally elsewhere throughout Earth or the Mushroom World. Name me one Mario game where Brooklyn is seen or mentioned in-game or in the manual. Lisenced games don't count. Go ahead.

Super Mario 64's manual.
And, if it counts, Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Melee doesn't count as it's not a Mario game.
Show me where Brooklyn is mentioned in Super Mario 64's manual.

No I remember it being in the manual... maybe it was the American one? And @ dinosaur Show me the proof that states that Mario never was at Brooklyn? That's right not even a liscenced game says that Mario NEVER went to Brookyln, so we need more proof from the Big N before we can decide on this.

How does Mario clearly being BORN in the Mushroom Kingdom + facing DK in Big Ape City + us never seeing or hearing of Brooklyn ANYWHERE in ANY game NOT disprove the notion of him being from Brooklyn!?Jesus Christ almighty. It's like I'm dealing with a bunch of lobotomized alcoholic 12-year-old Twilight fans. Oops, it happens I'm wrong. It's on the official player guide. Sorry. That doesn't count then. Looks like I win. Again.

Not to sound mean Dinosaur... but CALM THE HECK DOWN
now I will answer your questions calmly...
Mario being born in the MK: Just because Mario is born in the MK doesn't mean he never was in Brooklyn
Mario facing DK in Big Ape City: I might be the only one who thinks this, but since it didn't state directly that it was meant to be where Mario faced off with DK (not only that but who says it didn't happen more than once) I don't consider the events of DK to have taken place in the MK.
Not hearing of Brooklyn: Now hold on there. It isn't like I'm pulling some crazy idea from out of my hat. The only reason that I believe that Mario came from Brooklyn is because it was the NoA canon and I had it bashed into my skull every time NoA made a Mario product. After hearing it so many times (not only that, but it used to be agreed canon) I just took it for fact and tried to fit it in to the Mario canon however I could. To add to my explanation that Mario coming from Brooklyn isn't a crazy idea... I will state a fact that I know for sure is true: The world that any given character lives on is assumed to be Earth unless stated otherwise. So once the idea of him being from Earth was planted, it began to grow until the point where it cannot be removed without a strong bulldozer (in other words it has to be said in a Mario game that Mario never lived in Brooklyn). And Dinosaur, I really resent that last comment of yours. Try to remember that this is only a discussion and there is no need for you to get so angry.

I'm angry because nobody wants to believe blatant evidence. You basically just told me the only reason you insist Mario is from Brooklyn is out of nostalgia for old NoA marketing crap.
And it DID say Mario fought DK Sr. at Big Ape City. We see it actually happen in DK '94, then it's mentioned again in the manual to Donkey Kong Land. What more do you WANT?

I don't usually, but this is a matter of which I agree with DINOSAUR. There is no evidence at all Mario was ever in Brooklyn when growing up. Maybe he went to the real world a few times, depending on whether you count educational games and Mario and Sonic at the olympics as canon or not, but a good rule is to completely ignore marketing, region regardless (aka, even Japanese marketing is non canon). And yes, don't forget Donkey Kong Country Returns. The Donkey Kong arcade stages are in the background of the factory levels, which are clearly on DK Island. If you believe Donkey Kong is Mario series expanded universe, then that means Mario never left the Mushroom World at any time, period. I said this about here: www.waluigious.com/2010/07/super-mario-bros-canon-misconceptions.htmlMario is not from Brooklyn. Seriously, game canon likely overrules spinoff canon, and this general fanon idea is way, way too popular with the Mario fanbase.

*sigh* Alright. You wore me down, guys. I'm convinced. Maybe it's the NoA nostalgia talking for me too, but I sincerely wanted to believe that Mario & Luigi grew up on Earth.
However, I can live with the fact that they just merely visit Earth.
