I'll just say this: since the music is technically all remixes, they don't need to credit Wise for anything. It would be nice if they had, but I'm not gonna complain. Just be thankful this game even exists!

They need to credit him for composing it in the first flaming place. Without Wise, they wouldn't have anything to remix. Without Rare, there wouldn't be a Donkey Kong Country Returns. How would you like it if you wrote some music, then years late, someone else decides to remix it and you don't get credited whatsoever. You wouldn't be saying they don't need to credit you, would you?
I'm sick of Nintendo treating Rare as if they never even existed. They should be thanking them for making the DK franchise what it is today and thanking them for their characters and their music.

... except David Wise is a freelance musician now, he's not part of Rare.

So what if he's freelance. That isn't the point. The point is he composed the music so he should be getting credit for it.

If he has a problem with it, then he'll take it to court himself. He hasn't, so I think that he doesn't.

Well thats okay then but I do think he should have still got credit nevertheless as well as Rare in general for the characters (except Donkey and the Tikis) and the DKC title.

People make remixes of songs all the time and don't give any credit whatsoever. "Glee" is a good example of that.

Sorry, Rare. I can't give credit.

Come back when you're a little more...back with Nintendo richer.
