Okay so Super Mushrooms do everything I listed, as well as Double your Size. But when Mario is Cursed, it just makes him Normal Sized. But Mega Mushrooms, like, Quadruple his Size! Now, do Power-Ups affect all Races or just Humans, or does it depend on the Power-Up?

If you're saying Mario never got a Game Over, you're saying 1-Up Mushrooms are a gameplay-only thing. Now, how do you explain bosses respawning even after obviously being killed, like in SMG and SMG2, just so Mario can get a Comet Star? Do the Comet Stars respawn them? How about Bowser always coming back? How about any dang old Goomba coming back in any game if Mario leaves the area and comes back? If Mario falls down a pit, he's dead, all Koopalings fall down one in NSMBW and are still alive later. I think 1-Up Mushrooms do exist and have been reviving Mario and his enemies in all games.

You see that Refreshrooms from PiT(Which look JUST like 1-Up Mushrooms) can cure Unconsciousness. I'm guessing Life Mushrooms can make you Healthier(Thus increasing your Lifespan), but don't bring the Dead back!

Just because they look the same doesn't make them the same thing. For all we know, the Super Mario Bros mushrooms and the RPG mushrooms could be two completely different mushrooms.

I don't think you can consider the Comet Missions doing that! Is there really a Golden Medal in every Galaxy that makes a Comet appear! I think Mario just gets all the Power Stars his first time through the Galaxy(Not counting when he gets a Letter inviting him Back)! Mario never fell down a Pit! Mario has more Skill then we do! He has only Died once! As for Bowser, watch the Ending of NSMB, Jr. brings him back! Same thing could be said about Koopalings! Besides the only Game the Koopalings were Implied to Die in was Super mario World! And really, there's no reason to say all the Bosses Mario defeats Die! And who says Mario kills the Goombas, he could just beat them up! Look at the Sewer fight with the 2 Goombas in PM2, they Disappear(On the Battle Screen) just like all other Enemies after being defeated, but when it goes back to the Overworld, they speak to mario then run away! Same could be said for the Goomba Bros.

Ah, that's just the kid-friendly interpretation of all this.
OK, OK, I give up. You guys think the 1-Up mushrooms are a gameplay-facilitating feature from Nintendo, so be it. I, for one, think a world where death is only temporary and easy recovered from is much more interesting than one where people make each other "faint" in battles like Pokémon, but hey. To each their own.

Okay, New Topic: Boo Mushrooms! Go!

Boo Mushrooms? Well, either a) you actually turn into your spirit form when you eat one, or b) you turn into something Boo-like, but which isn't really a Boo since you're still alive. Also, note how different Mario and Luigi look from normal Boos, which never have noses.

Also, coming into Contact with Light makes you Human! I'm talking about Boo Mushrooms but this Question can be applied to all Power-Ups: Does it affect all Races, or just Humans?

Well, it seems like Toads can use most power-ups Mario and Luigi can, from NSMBW. Also, everyone can use all power-ups found in sports games... and Broque Monsieur can use Mega Shrooms, among others.

Sports Games Canonicity is arguable, and I doubt the Toads from NSMBWii did much "Platforming". They probably left all the Adventuring to the Bros., one could have been a Tracker, or something like that. So I don't think they used the Power-Ups, because if Toads had that much Skill, then Mario and Luigi would be out of a Job.

Why don't you think the Toads helped them? No, Mario and Luigi wouldn't be "out of a job", the Toads just kind of came along and helped a bit. Probably had to be rescued by the Bros. a few times, too, but Mario never says no when someone wants to join him! (Except Luigi). And it doesn't even matter how much platforming they did, if the game shows Toads being able to use Fire Flowers, Penguin Suits etc., it's canon.

Hmm.. True, I suppose Humans and Toads are similar enough that they both could use the Power-Ups, but I doubt they helped, or were nearly as Skilled as the Game depicts them.

Yeah, they probably did little more than run around and distract the enemies. "WHAT'S THIS ICKY PAINT-LIKE GOOMBA?!"

The Toads in SMG only talk about the power-ups, but don't actually use them on-screen. Maybe they can't - or, this might actually be more probable - they're too cowardly to do that. Although, the Captain has got a few stars on his own, maybe he had to use the items to get there.
