However, Bowser probably wished for the strengthening arena using the Star Rod, and while he was there, they couldn't break his magic until Twink and Peach joined in. Imagine what happened if Bowser wished for more, then they'd need even more Star Kids, ad infinitum.

I also think Rosalina communicated with Mario, but via his mind because he's still knocked out. That explains why he sees her as a giant, and how he can hear the newborn Lumas. As for gods in the Mario series... there aren't really any. Anymore, at least. The Four Sages were gods (and possibly the only gods) but they are dead now (but Merloo is hinted to be Dimentio, so... wait, Merloo is said to have creation all dimensions in my version so... Dimentio would have simply tried to destroy what he created (Apocalypse, anyone ?) but Mario's awesomeness stopped him ?). But there are still other great beings through the dimensions, probably hired by the Ancients a long time ago (the Star Spirits + the Star Rods, Palutena, Arceus, etc). But for now, the greatest beings on the MW are the Star Spirits (but it's because they can make prayers come true, and watch over the world). Rosalina isn't a goddess for multiple reasons: - She's born as an human. Humans can hardly become gods. - She's born "only" some hundred years ago. - She can fly and create energy and stuff, but she's still an human. She gave herself the role to watch over the universe and to take care of Lumas too, she wasn't needed before and isn't needed now. - Bowser-the-idiot could hijack her space vessel. Yet the same Bowser-the-idiot can't beat a small, chubby plumber.

When are the 4 Sages said to be Deities? I don't recall that. But I still stick with my "The All-Mighty did It" Theory.

They created the Pure Hearts, Flipside and the Light Prognosticus, but that only affects an area of nine small dimensions. They're "local" gods at best.

Because, first, they are the ancestors of all Merlons / Merl[item]. Then, because: - Merlimbis created the Pure Hearts and wrote the Light Prognosticus. - Merlight knew everything about anything. - Merlumina didn't do anything. - Merloo created all worlds, wrote the Dark Prognosticus as Dimentio, wrote the Light Prognosticus as Merloo
Note that Merloo is a pun on "Merl-" and "low". My guess is that although he created everything, the Ancients worshipped Merlumina because of her beauty and ignored Merloo. Merloo went insane and, under the alias Dimentio, made the Dark Prognosticus, so that one day he could take his revenge by destroying everything, and later recreating it as his own image.

Where does it say that Merloo "created all worlds"? It can't possibly be in the game like this, that'd be absurd... Also, his name is not a pun on Mer + low, but rather on Mer + loo, i.e. toilet.

Well, sorry then. In the French version it states that he created the dimensions. And his French name is Merlouze (pun on "Merl-" and "loose") so I though that the pun was about how low he was on the "worshipped people" list.

There's a big difference between creating THE dimensions (the nine dimensions of SPM) and ALL dimensions (basically the universe). He could have done the first, and be "a local god", as I said, but not the second.

I mean, all dimensions. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I thought always saying "all dimensions" was a bit repetitive.

You know, I'm going to put in my SPM disc and tattle that guy. See you soon!

I already saw the english tattle for him. He's not said to have created all worlds.
You know what ? We'll get someone *coughsarisacough* to check the Japanese version when it'll be a possibility, and then we'll know.

The tattle says: "This stained-glass window depicts one of the ancient sages, Merloo. This sage was very wise and is even said to have written the Light Prognosticus... He was also a great magician who could control dimensions..."
Control dimensions? Bestovius can do that. Mario can do that. So, case closed.

While it's great if someone on the forum knows Japanese, we shouldn't treat this like the final solution and basically boil down everything to "What does the Japanese version say?"

Well, Speaking on behalf of my Creation Theory:The 4 Sages were the Guardians of the Mushroom Universe, and were responsible for Creating the Nine (Sub)Dimensions that Flip-Side is Connected to. My guess is they Watched over the Universe, and the Dimensions are for there own Personal Enjoyment.

I don't understand why we can't say Flipside/Flopside are connected to all universes/dimensions. There's no evidence that contradicts it. The only reason you wouldn't see a door to somewhere like, say Termina, is that it wasn't important to the story.

Yeah, except that each door requires a Pure Heart to open it. And it's not just a Pure Heart, you also have to have a pillar for it, and there are exactly eight hearts, eight pillars, and eight slots for doors to appear (counting both towers). Flipside is connected to exactly those eight dimensions.

I know, KingKoopa and I talked about that earlier, but the 9 Dimensions are special, in that they are so Similar to the Mushroom Universe, and considering how small they are, MUST be Sub-Dimensions.

It's not that it's not improtant to the story. It's that multiple characters mention that "there are 7 doors". It's not the game hiding it if the characters confirm it. Something similar happens in M&L3: a Toad says "the castle's being reconstructed, but the path is the same: take that bridge to the north". Or Luigi saying he wants to be on the upper bed in Paper Mario. When a character precisely mentions how an aera is, you can't say the game's hiding it. In other words, the canon version of Mario and Luigi's beds isn't how it is in M&L1 but how it is in PM.
TL;DR The characters' sayings are completely canon and are the only way to confirm a version of an aera.

Or they remodeled their House. Just Saying. Look at "Mario's Pad" from SMRPG, we assume that it's the same House that Mario shares with Luigi in future games, I think it is, yet we don't see Luigi's Bed. But you do make a Good Point.
