Okay, we know Lady Bow is Princess of the Boos, but I don't think King Boo is her Dad. I think King Boo was once a Big Boo who Bowser made King via Shine Sprites(Think Goomboss/Goomba King)! Then after SMS, he took up residence in a Mansion, and got Revenge on Mario by sealing him in a Painting, but K. Boo is defeated by Luigi! What do you guys Think?

Luigi's Mansion was before SMS so no, I think that he might have been Big Boo in Big Boo's Haunt. Or he was King Boo in SM64DS (considering that SM64DS was the true story of SM64)

We don't now if it Chronologically happened before Sunshine, as far as the Canon go's Anyway. But my guess is After. Though I do think the Big Boo from SM64/DS may have been King Boo before Bowser made him a King.

SM64's "Big Boo" is originally called Boss Teresa (Boss Boo). Yes, that means SMS's "King Boo" is Big Boo. I personally think that, seeing that Mario and Luigi are fighting Boos since SMB3, a random Boo choosed to take revenge on the Mario bros. by doing what he did in Luigi's Mansion. He may not be related to Big Boo.
Also, in my version Lady Bow was never said to be the princess of the Boos so I can't say anything. But she may only rule the aera covering Forever Forest and Gusty Gulch...

Idk, It seems to me that there would be only One King Boo.

I always though that 'Big Boo' was a species/type of Boo.

It is... But we are talking about a Specific Big Boo, not the Species.

Oh, ok, I just got confused by what Koopalmier said.
Anyway, is there any evidence that Big Boo from SM64 is the King Boo of today? And how was King Boo able to escape the painting he got trapped in in LM? Are there more than 1 king Boo?

Easy, Luigi's Mansion takes place AFTER Sunshine. Chronologically.

SM64DS kind of proves Big Boo and King Boo are different characters.
Maybe that SM64 is not canon, but SM64DS is ? Goomba King in PM would actually take his revenge, while... wait, no, that doesn't work. Except if Goomboss and Goomba King are different characters. After all their moustache is colored differently. But anyway, King Boo in LM would actually take his revenge from SM64DS.
As for King Boo escaping his painting, I guess that, according to my timeline (in which SMS takes place after LM), when Jr. went to E. Gadd's lab (as Shadow Mario), he did not only took the Paintbrush but also freed King Boo (maybe on Bowser's order, to thank King Boo for reviving him ?). Or he simply escaped by himself, using his own powers.

I suppose it's possible for Bowser to have set him Free with the Shine Sprites, but I'm still leaning towards LM happening afterwards. Allow me to Explain:The Most powerful Boo Agrees to help Bowser defeat Mario in SM64, but he is defeated... Three Times! When Bowser stole the Shrine Sprites, he used their Power to make said Boo a King(cough.. Goomboss ..cough), but he is Defeated once Again. So he(Retaining his Title of "King") took control of a Mansion in Boo Woods, and gets his Revenge on Mario by trapping him in a Painting! Luckily, Luigi showed up, and with a little(A Lot?) of Help from E. Gadd, rescues his Brother and Seals Kimg Boo away! Also, I'd say that SM64 and DS are both describing the same Event, but the Original left Parts out, like Wario and Yoshi helping. But the Original is right about there being 120 Power Stars(Not 150)!

To be fair, what of the other twenty games with King Boo in? It's unlikely they ALL happened before Luigi's Mansion...
I just guess personally he got freed somehow. Maybe not with the Shine Sprites, remember Bowser did originally mean to have some kind of 'dark magic' in the original game, maybe he used that?

Uhhh... The only other Game I can think of him being in was MKWii, but his appearance could easily be marked as "Non Canon", just like the Baby Characters, and Rosalina.

Super Princess Peach.
Also, cheat-master, you see in SMG, SMG2 and M&L3 that Bowser's dark magic is purple and ridiculously weak (in M&L3, it must be powered-up by the Kameks' wands, while in SMG and SMG2 Bowser only uses it to make his attacks look stronger (when they are not)). I'd rather say Jr. freed King Boo while E. Gadd was looking away.

Well, who's to say that E. Gadd remained in Boo Woods? I mean, maybe he moved to Mushroom City to focus Entirely on Gadd Science Inc. But even if that's true, he probably wouldn't have left King Boo's Portrait alone at the Mansion! If he took it with him, then Koop is right, Bowser(Or Jr.) Smashed it while Gadd wasn't looking! Of course, Bowser could have just as easily sent Kamek to doi It. And Kamek's Magic is Insanely Powerful(He can Travel through TIME)!

Any character that has a witch hat but not a long beard is automatically a good character.
E. Gadd could have used the-money-Luigi-found-in-the-mansion to focus and expand Gadd Sciene Inc. but instead he constructed a new mansion for Luigi. I don't think he cares much for Gadd Science Inc.

King Boo has also appeared in:
Super Princess Peach Super Mario 64 DS Mario Kart DS Mario Kart Double Dash Mario Kart Wii Mario Superstar Baseball Mario Super Sluggers Mario Party 8 Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
Just a small list.
Kamek freeing him sounds fair. And yes, evil characters are ridiculously easy to spot in the Mario series. Usually by virtue of having a name beginning with 'K', the word 'Dark' in front of their name, or being royalty.

I figure it's all the same boo. Think about it: after King Boo and Bowser were trapped in that painting, Bowser obviously found a way out. So why couldn't King Boo as well?

Either the final boss was a haunted suit copying Bowser's abilities, either Bowser has an empty body, can shoot ice, got his neck broken and eventually decapitated.
