Ah, I forgot the Bob-Ombs (that originally speak Russian and Common).
And do the Shroobs' language counts ?

KingKoopa, based on the List above you can see I agree with you. But Beanish can be the name of the People and Language, look at Chinese, which is the name of both the People and Language! But other than that, I totally agree! Isn't that what I said? I remember saying that the language should be called Beanish

Oh, sorry KingKoopa, I thought you said "it can't", but you actually said "why can't", my bad!

You know, its funny Shroob is is the only language that Mario doesn't understand (Except the Yoshi language during SMRPG but I think he learned it sometime after then). It makes sense though since the Shroobs speak a language that no one else on ME speaks.

Actually, I think it's impossible for anyone other than a Yoshi(Species) to speak Yoshi(Language), because it takes a Special type of Vocal Cord to do it(A Type only Yoshi has)! But Yoshis can learn other Languages, one Example of which is (The)Yoshi being able to Speak fluent Common(As demonstrated in SMW, SMRPG, and SMG2)! Shroobish is only Spoken by the Shroobs, so Mario doesn't Understand it.

Near the end of M&L2, before the Princess Shroob battle, the princess' words are translated. Although it is for the player's comfort, it may also mean Mario starts to somewhat understand the Shroob language (and considering he then proceeds to tell Peach to escape (through his gibberish voice clip) (until the Shroob princess stops him at least), this further proves this theory). But he most likely forgot it anyway.

Hey, I had forgotten that! Thanks for remembering!

I think it was more of the fact that Princess Shroob knew common along with the Shroob language since Mario doesn't understand it in BIS

If she understood it, she would have spoke it. But she doesn't. And Mario most probably forgot it soon after, it's not like he studied it or anything.

Maybe she was using Telepathy! Well, it's a Possibility!

He DOES use it in a minigame in Mario Party 2... But I doubt he really has telepath powers or something. Or else he'd use it more frequently.

No, I meant she was using Telepathy on him! You don't have to be Telepathic to receive messages, you just have to have a Brain.

What about the Whetlies? They speak with an Accent, so they may have their own Language!

Oh sorry, I was talking about Elder Princess Shroob, she could speak Common along with the Shroob language. (Now that I think about it I think Mario did learn the Shroob language in PiT as I remember that it would have a little translated thing after the Shroob Text passed by. Why he forgot it by PiT is beyond me though, unless it was one of the babies who learned the Shroob language, that would give them more time to forget the language. Although I wonder why in BIS they mentioned how they beat the Shroobs as babies and they didn't mention that theiy also defeated the Shroobs as adults)

Mario didn't really learnt it. I mean, it's not like he studied it and remembered it. He learned by listening.
Also, Mario not talking about how they beated the Shroobs as adults is very simple: what's more traumatizing, saving the world as a baby or saving it as an adult when you're doing it every week and don't even care about it anymore ?

Yeah, I've actually heard people develop a Split-Timeline Theory for Mario because of that! I'm actually a Splitist as far as Zelda goes, but nothing changed in the Past that affected the Future!
