But the Conconut Mall mentions a district, yet the only city we saw yet was Mushroom City. Until more informations, we should use what we have.
Also, it'd appears every isle in the "Sunshine Isles" has its own leader(s).

Let's say there's no "main" race, instead there's every kind you see around the Daisy Circuit. Yeah that's what I think. There's seems to be a large number of koopas there. That could explain why the koopas in the sports games are willing to play with the good guy (they aren't Bowser's minions)

KoopalmierYeah, but you forget that the Mall is next to a Beach. MC is not!

Wait, wait. We don't even know where MC is located.

Oh, I'm sorry. I meant to say "Something we have yet to see in Mushroom City", but it may very well be near the Ocean(I actually think it is).
As to it's Location, I'd say it is North of Toad Town, somewhere on the Coast, but still in Mushroom Plains.

You don't see any "yellow" hills though. You see them in the background of World 1 in NSMB, and the 4 tracks of the Mushroom Cup in MKWii (not coutning Mario Circuit).

But you see Trampoline Mushrooms outside the City, and Grass(I think), both of which are Distinct to Mushroom Plains!

You can see trampoline shrooms ? ... I'll check again later. Trampoline shrooms aren't unique to Mushroom Plains though. There are many of those through NSMB and NSMBW. Anyway, so here's the definitive map (well, "number, location and shapes of the continents" would work better) of the MW as seen in SMG2. img245.imageshack.us/img245/8421/mariomap.pngAnd here's a proof that the WarioWare series isn't on the MW. Yeah, I'm annoying with that and I'm probably wrong, but I have nothing better to do. (taken from Smooth Moves) It looks nothing like the MW, right ? It looks more like North America, if you tilt your head on the right... But the deserts aren't at the right places, so either it's just because it's a fast-made cartoony representation of Earth, either it means this could be an entirely new planet.

You really need a better picture, the rain blurs out much of the background, and maybe a picture from the GBA/DS versions would be better?
But I'm not going to argue about whether it's in one place or not, although if I ever got control of any of the series, I'd make it on Mushroom World for the sake of a good plot, Intelligent Systems be damned (see my recent game idea).

Keep in mind that Devs often use slightly altered Real World Globes to avoid drawing there own Maps. But, I see the similarities. I'm still leaning on MC being in Mushroom Plains though. Also, does the Trampoline Mushroom level from NSMBWii remind you of Mushroom Gorge, maybe the Raceway is somewhere close by! But I think that TallTall Mountain is probably near the StoneHead Mountains(Or maybe a part of the Range).

It's not rain, the shrine is falling (back to the ground). But here's a more clear version (thanks Paint !):

Well, it still doesn't look much like Earth, looking more like some kind of Plesiosaur shaped landmass. Or maybe some kind of really, really awkwardly drawn turtle shaped continent. Still, that looks nothing like Earth would from space.

I agree with CM, it does lok like a Plesiosaur! But seriously, where do you guys think Mushroom City is?

It may not be on Earth, but it's definitely not on the MW.
Personally, I have no idea. But if Coconut Mall is part of the city, and if said track's map is in the "east is to the right" direction, then the sea is to the south of the city, then it could be... I don't know. We don't have a generally accepted map of the MK so we can't say anything.
EDIT: According to the Prima guide for MKWii, Coconut Mall would be located on Isle Delfino... It makes sense, as apparently a town was made after Super Mario Sunshine (Delfino Square is part of that town).

On-Topic:Do the Locations from the Mario Party Games actually Exist on the Mushroom World?

Post by shadowgoomba on Aug 11, 2010 13:47:13 GMT -5
1 & 2: Possibly. 3: No, they're part of the board game. 4: Debatable. Maybe the party cube simply takes them there, or it could be a realm within the cube. 5: Nah, those are dream worlds. 6: Possibly. Quite likely actually...Faire Square looks enough like an actual town. 7: Also possible. 8: No idea, haven't played it. DS: Possibly, but remember they're just small things (a garden, a pinball machine, a statue, a bookshelf, and a small part of a music room) but they look bigger since the cast is shrunken.

Mario Party DS is the only Mario Party game that fits with the usual Mario series. I think it's the only game where the places actually exist (I'm not sure if the story really happened though). After all you do see Toad Town and Vista Hill.

For Mario Party:
1 and 2: Definitely part of Mushroom World. Wario's Battle Canyon ties in Bob-omb Battlefield well for example.
3: Inside board game
4. Possibly another dimension inside the cube.
5. Dreams. Like Subcon I guess.
6, 7 and 8: Entirely possible, the areas seem like they could be in Mushroom World, and all the eighth game places are probably set there.
DS: Yes. The cast is experiencing Mushroom World from another viewpoint.

I know DS can't be because Bowser doesn't have a Volcaoe Lair next to Toad Town!
