I'm just saying, your statement implies that they aren't Koopas because they can't roll into a ball.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen a spiketop or a buzzy beetle roll into a ball :/ *goes to get the proof* That's what I mean. And since when did Hammer Bros. roll into a ball? Says spiketops and buzzy beetles. Doesn't say anything about spinies.

But Spinies are the only ones that roll into balls. You say Spinies are Koopas. So I don't see what else stating that Buzzy Beetles and Spike Tops can't roll into balls could mean.

I was replying to what iYoshi and thedude posted, which seemed to imply that spinies were not related to koopas because of their ability to roll into a ball and that they were rather related to buzzy beetles and spike tops.
edit: So what's with this mandatory gender discloser thing that just came out?

Oh, OK, then. But I don't know what you mean about your edit.

I dunno. It didn't do that to me. But is my gender showing?

But Spinies are the only ones that roll into balls. You say Spinies are Koopas. So I don't see what else stating that Buzzy Beetles and Spike Tops can't roll into balls could mean. Those balls that turn into spinys are spiny eggs not spinys themselves

But Spinies can revert to their ball form, so it's unlikely they're eggs.
Unless they can hide in eggs like Yoshis can...

Well, they're officially called "Spiny Eggs," so that's pretty much your answer right there...

Good point.

I think the term spiny "eggs" is just more of a nickname then a literal meaning

Post by kingkoopa on Aug 6, 2008 13:27:28 GMT -5
No it literally means Spiny Egg

Post by shadowgoomba on Aug 6, 2008 13:31:53 GMT -5
Nah, I think it means they're actually eggs. Spiny balls could have worked just as well.
