Any one of the places in both Paper Marios could be considered a city (or village or town depending on size) ---------- And, if I recall correctly, didn't Raphael the Raven run into Yoshi causing him to go flying to the moon and then follow him?

There was obviously a lot of Poshley Heights we didn't see. I imagine it's much larger than it appeared.

Those places in PM2 are freakin tiny. They must be villages, run down or rich, they're small.
Each one of those places is about the size of my school.
Besides Rougeport and mabey Glitzville every other place is a village.

There had to be some limit of how large the cities were. It is only a game. Adding extra space would just mean more time programing for the developers and more time aimlessly walking for the player. Only buildings of importance needed to be put into the game. I'm sure there are alot of buildings to go into and people to talk to that really don't need to be there because they don't add to the plot.

That can be explained by saying they're on the fourth side of the screen (the side the camera is on).

I'm not sure how much more they could add on but I'm sure they wouldn't be bigger than a fair sized town.

of course being a time period that mixes the medieval, present, and furture ages large cities arn't going to be common,so a fair sized town would be like a city

I read somwhere (I belive the PM map screen) that Toad Town is the largest city in the Mushroom Kingdom (or atleast the part Paper Mario took places in) It make you wonder where Mushroom Bridge and The Mushroom city (from MK: Double Dash) are located...

Toad Town is only big to show details. It's really just 2 areas across. Dry Dry desert is 7.

In terms of area and not just width, TT is 6 or 7 units and DDD is 49.
