Okay guys, I know we had a lot of discussion in multiple threads, but now we have single place to discuss. Lets start off by talking about the Vacuum Block. Here are my answers to some of the Questions:
Where did it Originate? I recently started playing through BiS again, and I came up with the theory that it may have been a "Prototype" of the Vacuum Mushroom, but Fawful chose the Mushroom form instead as an easier way to convince Bowser to accept it. This is furthered by the Fact that he invented the Vacuum Helmet.
How Many are There? If the above theory is true. One.
How did Broque come into possession of It? I imagine that Fawful abandoned it at his "Shop" in Dimble Woods. And while Brogue was looking for Broggy, he stumbled into the building and found"Ze Rare Block".
Well, what do YOU think?

I think the Vacuum Block being an item was a bizarre bit of meta-fictional humor that should probably be disregarded due to the lack of a plausible explanation, but I'll try....
....the Vacuum Block allows one who has ingested a Vacuum Mushroom to regulate their suction powers more easily, but Fawful didn't know about it. Obviously it had to have been lying around the kingdom somewhere, and Broque Monsieur, the crafty block collector that he is was sure to have found it at some point.
If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say the Vacuum Mushroom is a rare type of shroom, and as such the corresponding block is equally rare. It's not like we haven't had rare blocks before. I mean, where else have the colored cap blocks appeared besides Peach's Castle and the worlds within it?

If anything, I think it makes sense that the Vacuum Shroom is like the Blorb Mushroom. They're not natural, but simply genetically engineered.

Yeah, I think the Blorb and Vacuum Mushrooms were made by Fawful, along with the Vacuum Block.

I thought the Vacuum Block was just a funny way to represent Bowser's mastery over the inhaling technique. In other words, it just seemed to me that Broque Monsieur was simply teaching Bowser how to utilize this ability, and that him giving Bowser the Block was just symbolizing this.
Think about it: the Vaccum Block is a only a gameplay element, taking the form of a battle command. If it really existed, then wouldn't all the other command blocks (items, punch, etc.) be actual, physical objects, too? That wouldn't make a whole lot of sense.

I thought that at first, but it actually plays a role in advancing the plot. See, if Broque didn't offer him the Block, Bowser wouldn't have pulled the Island in, but, it's possible that he offered Bowser something else.

Simple. He offered to teach him how to use his suction ability.

But, keep in mind, Bowser had no memory of Vacuuming everything up, and how would Broque anyway?

Wait what?

Bowser doesn't remember eating Mario, Luigi, Starlow, Peach, or the Toads, in fact, he didn't have any memory between Fawful tricking him, and waking up in Cavi Cape.

I don't even think he knew he inhaled all of them in the first place.

And if Bowser didn't know about it (of course memory loss was involved) how could Broque have possibly known that Bowser had inhalation powers if he wasn't even there.

I was wondering, Broque Monsiure and Broque Madame, what are they? I mean, I know they're blocks, but how are they sentient? Magic, or are they a species we've never seen?

I think they are sentinent blocks. Just like the Blitties and Broggy. They might have been created by magic but that doesn't stop them from being sentinent beings.

Hey, there's probably a whole species of block people in Mario's world. Seems like every inanimate object has a sentient species counterpart (Mushrooms = Toads and Goombas, Beans = Beanish and Beanies, Stones/Bricks = Thwomps and Whomps, Ammo = Bob-Ombs and Bullet Bills, Flowers = Piranha Plants, Dayzees, etc.) so this should be no different.

I imagine that they are very few and far between, keep in mind there are only 15 Blitties in the entire Mushroom-Koopa Kingdom territories... And thats a LOT of land.

The areas in BIS weren't the ENTIRE Mushroom Kingdom. For all we know there's more Blitties out there but Broque only wanted the ones in the areas we see in BIS.

We can't possibly know if those were all of the Blitties in existance, just the ones that Broque knew about

*bump* Sorry, I didn't see you there. Seriously though, let's talk about Brick Blocks and ? Blocks (I call them Mystery Blocks, other's call them Question-Mark Blocks, whatever floats your boat). Here's a few questions for you guys, and my answers:
1) Where did they come from? I think ? Blocks are either A) a natural occurence involving a manifestation of energy in the form of a ? Block, B) a tool created by the Tribe of Ancients and scattered throughout the Worlds, or C) a self-refilling storage device created in recent history. As for Brick Blocks, I have no idea.
2) Why do they float? If my first theory on ? Blocks is true, then that is why, but other than that I'm stumped. And again, no comment for Brick Blocks.
Welp, that's all I got.

I figure they float by some natural occurence. But it makes me wonder.... if Mario threw a Question Mark Block up into the air, would it stay there? Or does it require some magic help for it to float in place?
