I'm one of those who subscribes to the notion that the DK Isles and Northern Kremisphere take place on the same "planet" as the rest of Mario's world. I consider Donkey Kong '94 (for the Game Boy) as well as some of the spin-offs to be a blending point for the two series.

I've never really considered the DKU part of the Mario universe despite Mario first appearing in Donkey Kong. I always thought of the DK in the original DK to be a completely different character altogether. I also always thought of the DK games as being Rareware games, not Nintendo games because of everything they have done with it.

- But not every DK game is made by Rare, especially not now.
- Of course Arcade DK was a different character than current DK

Arcade DK=Cranky Kong, just in case you didn't know. Also, RareWare only made Six DK games(DKC1-3, DK94, and DKL1-2), Nintendo made the rest.

First, the series is Nintendo's property since the original Donkey Kong on arcade, so Rare only added (a lot) more things to the DK universe.
Now, Paon, Nintendo and Retro are taking care of the series.

Who is up for New Donkey Kong Country! *cricket chirps* well how else do you expect the Kremlings to make a comeback.

The Kremlings will probably be in DKCR2, anyway...

Donkey Kong Country Returns 2? But he already returned! He can't return again for at least 14 more years... unless they come up with a different name.

Donkey Kong Country Forever. They should call it that, and add a Viking theme to the Kremlings.

In all honesty, I like the Tiki Tak Tribe waaaaaaaaaaaayy more than the Kremlings. But maybe that's just me, because I've heard people say that they aren't getting DKCR because of "No Kremlings", so Idk.

I think they're interesting, and they definitely have potential. Personally, I want a game featuring Kremlings and Tikis, either working together or against each other.

And Donkey Kong just sits back and watches.

While eating his own Banana Hoard. At the end of the game, both the Tikis and the Kremlings destroyed each other, and DK commits suicide because he ate his whole Banana Hoard. Then Donkey Kong Country will never return again... *evil laugh*

Who are you, Miyamoto?
Yes, I know Miyamoto likes Donkey Kong Country.

There will always be a Dixie Kong's Double Trouble series waiting for Donkey Kong country to die. Anyways, I thought the DK Isles were on Earth. The Kremlings pollute and stuff, and pollution and grimy factories for some reason just don't exist in the Mushroom World.

Super Mario Sunshine disagrees with you. None of these are in the Mushroom Kingdom because it's your usual fantasy land, with light grene grass, a light blue sky, happy people, wishes that come true, and endless pits of death everywhere. Rogueport is pretty much "GTA meets Mario" and Diamond City is quite like a real-world place, so I think there must be pollution, violence and problems on the Mushroom Earth, but it doesn't concern the Mushroom Kingdom.

Crimes happen in the Mushroom Kingdom, as well. I mean, Croc steals anything he can get his hands on. And not to mention the Koopa's constantly threatening the Mushroom Kingdom's national security. I'm sure we just don't see a lot of the crime that goes on, probably because it's an E game.

Well, Rougeport is definitely high-crime. Don't forget that.

Well yes, there are crime infested areas, like Rougeport, or Bandit's Way, and I guess any place touched by Wario has to be at least somewhat rough. What I mean is that the subject of actual factories that pollute isn't touched upon in the Mario world unless you count magical paint and tooth decay as just that.

Well, I suppose Mushroom King/Mushroom Chancellor/Princess Peach or whoever runs the Mushroom Kingdom does their best to keep it Eco-Friendly, while still remaining up-to-date with Technology. That reminds me, what did Bowser's dad do to make the Koopa Kingdom look like it does now?
