It's not because someone has a diaper that it's a newborn. You see a scene where Peach is taken away from the castle and one where DK is taken away from his home too, if they were newborn they'd be held by... birds that I can't remember the name of.

Storks?

I meant it wasn't that Long after their Birth, besides, Princess Peach was probably born in the Castle!

In the Marioverse, when a baby is "born", it is given by a stork. I have a theory about this (right after they are born, they are taken by a stork who bring them to a special hospital somewhere on the planet, where they're taken care of for a day before being taken back to their parents). Beside, a few months isn't very much.

Um, there really isn't supposed to be a theory about that. The whole storks thing is based on the myth that storks deliver babies to parents after the babies are created by clouds.

Yeah, because the game was targeted towards Children, I say they were Born in Hospital, then delivered by Stork!

As for the little moons in SMW2, they were too small to be considered as true moons and were rather crap-flying-around orbiting the planet (like some "galaxies" in SMG and SMG2).
Incorrect. The definition of a moon or natural satellite is pretty much any natural object in a planet's orbit. So they'd count as moons in a strict scientific sense, and probably end up with random number ID type names.
For the mining colony/Wario's Planet idea... meh, it'd be more like Wario to be the one doing the mining. Maybe Bowser took it?
Finally, as for the stork thing... it's just based on that story told in Victorian times I think, as a child friendly way of saying where babies came from. Of course, anything shown in a Mario game has to be canon by default, so eh, you may as well stop trying to apply real life physics to it.

Since none of the moons except the Spin-Dig one actually correspond to any galaxies in World 1, and none of them can be seen from anywhere, I take it to be simply a visual thing. Maybe the Spin-Dig one is actually just a coincidence, too.
It really bothers me how the scales of the worlds are so drastically different - a planet, a solar system, a nebula, an entire galaxy, a galaxy CLUSTER and a black hole - and yet all worlds are the same size! Man, the designers could have looked into an astronomy book or something in the two-three years designing this.

The "windy" moon can be seen in the first world, though. Next to the Spin-Dig Galaxy.
And they aren't really of the same size. Their scale was changed on the selection screen so that it fits. Or else Starship Mario would be almost bigger than the MW then. <_<

I meant "of the same size" as containing the same amount of playable galaxies. If the stuff floating around the Mushroom Planet makes for seven levels, why does a galaxy cluster like World 5 not have billions of levels? Or at least more than seven?

The higher the World Number, the Greater the Distance between Levels. In World 1 all of them except for Spin-Dig were in a relatively close Orbit around ME. World 2 spans the Outer Rim of the Solar System. World 3 is on the Far Corners of a Nebula. World 4 is scattered throughout the Galaxy. World 5's (Level)Galaxies are each in a different (Real)Galaxy in a Cluster. And World Six is around a Black Hole. So the farther you get from ME, the larder Distance between Power Stars!

Oh, I like that idea. Since the Power Stars were probably scattered from the Mushroom Planet, most of them are close to it, and the further you go, the larger the distance becomes.
However, I still am angry at the designers for a) reusing so many sky backgrounds in the galaxies, b) not making the backgrounds of the galaxies fit the atmosphere of the larger worlds. How can something as peaceful as Slimy Spring Galaxy exist so close to a ginormous black hole?

Well, my "Most Galaxies from SMG/2 are from Mushroom Earth" Theory could easily explain this! Okay, so Bowser uses his newfound Power to lift peices of Land from the Planet, which explains how Yoshi got to Space, and the Power Stars kept a "Mini Atmospere" around the Galaxy! So the Supermassive Black Hole is raging outside of said Atmospere, but you don't notice because of the Power Star's Magic!

So the Supermassive Black Hole is raging outside of said Atmospere, but you don't notice because of the Power Star's Magic! Ha! Very interesting! But this raises the question whether Power Stars are really powerful enough to create the illusion of an entire world. From the games, their power is mostly used "en masse"; if you have several of them together, you can open doors/portals, and if you have most of them you can free the Princess or power the Observatory or something. A single Power Star mainly has the ability to fly its finder safely back to the place he came from. But since Power Stars are most definitely magic, arguing about what exactly they can or can't do is pointless... just saying here that other star-like artifacts like Crystal Stars are much more powerful in that they have extremely versatile uses. Seems like that "conservation of ninjitsu" law where the more artifacts you have, the weaker any single one of them is.

Mario only goes in a few galaxies because he goes were the Power Stars are. The other places are irrelevant.

Yeah and the more Power Stars he has, the farther he can Travel! Hey I've got an Idea for a Thread!

Actually, Power Stars aren't magic. They are star energy. It's not really magic, more like an extremely powerful energy that is concentrated into Power Stars. The Crystal Stars also use that energy. And the Star beings control this energy.
And I think the illusion was... the black hole. Why ? Well, first, it isn't seen from the galaxies in that world. Then, it looks extremely menacing - basically what Bowser loves. Then making your empire right next to a black hole is suicidal. And finally, the black hole disappears in the ending but it didn't exploded or anything, like it should have done (as seen in the ending of SMG). So, yeah, I think that black hole was a fake.

But they could still be Used to travel Greater Distances.

Well, if the black hole was a fake, so were all other worlds! Since many of them even reuse the same background while being in different worlds completely.
So now we have justifications in the form of a) Power Stars create the illusion of the background, or b) the worlds were fake. Both include something being fake, and that just means the designers messed up.

The Atmosperes aren't exactly Illusions, they're literally theClouds and Oxygen from it's Original Location. But some of them do Create Illusions(Like the "Bkue Skies"). I'd say the Black Hole is Real, though! And I still think the Power Stars are Magic. I have more to say on the Subject of Power Stars, but I'll post my Theories in my New Thread!
