You know, I wonder why Bowser stopped building tanks

Good question, Koopalmier! He also stopped building Airships until recently(SMG1), maybe Lack of Funds, maybe Kamek convinced him Magic was more efficient! Other than that, I don't know!

Okay then, where are the Sparkle Isles(W4, NSMBW) located?

I somewhat doubt it's really in a sea. It must be in a water and sunny aera, but maybe not a sea. But now that I think about it, it doesn't matter - RPGs aeras are much more interesting. While NSMB and NSMBW worlds are just "Mario goes through some place".

The Mario game "Worlds" do tell us what kind of terrain the MK contains

Hmmm.. True, but thats why it's fun to Discuss(And mostly Argue), because we don't have a clear Indication of where they Are, as opposed to RPG Areas, which are pretty clearly Layed out for us! But Ok! Paper Mario - "East Coast", "West Coast", or "Not a Coast at All", you Decide! There, good enough for Ya'?

The "worlds" do how many different places of the MK are like, but we don't know anything about where they could be. I mean, you dion't see Mario directly going from a place to another. The worlds could be separated by hundreds of miles or be right next to each other. So we can't really argue about anything there.

Okay then, so the Mushroom and BeanBean Kingdoms are on a Continent in the Northern Hemisphere(Lets call it Mushroom Land), then Sarasa Land could be the Equator Continent(Which still looks like a Circle to me), but the Southern Continent is a Mystery to me! There is also a (North)Polar Continent, as seen in SMB3(Above Iced Land)!

"Iced Land" could only be an iceberg derivating.
Anyway, I remade my map because I was a bit wrong (now my Wii is dead... ;n;). But sadly I'm not on my computer right now. The shape of the MK's continent is rather different, and the southern continent is a bit more to the right. And on the world selection screen, the MK continent is round, the equator continent is banana-shaped and the... well, that's all. I think you're mistaking the MK continent for the equator continent.
On a side note: if the Mario Kart track maps are in the "east is to the left" side, then we can know where Daisy Circuit is located and thus... where Sarasaland could be possibly located !

I don't think Daisy Circuit was made in Sarassaland. Daisy Circuit seemed to be a small town somewhere near the other Circuits

What about Daisy's castle, next to the gold statues ?
Off-topic: good news, my Wii is back to life.

Sorry, maybe I'm just blind but the Equator Continent still looks round to me! But either way it could be Sarasa Land! Also, Daisy Circuit must be in the Kingdoms Capital, because of Two Reasons: 1)Her Castle is there, and 2)Princess Peach wouldn't blow Millions of Tax Coins on a giant Statue of a foreign Leader within their own Border(Imagine the Queen of England erecting a Statue of Fidel Castro in the middle of London! It's not gonna Happen!)!

More like the Queen making a statue of Obama in the middle of London
On Topic: You know I never noticed that castle before. By the way, according to the Mario Kart games, Royal Raceway and Mario Circuit(Mario Kart Wii) have both been in front of Peach's Castle. Did the castle move, or did the old racetrack get destroyed only to be replaced by a new one.

The Racetracks are either Temporary, or, it's not really her Castle, just a look-a-like intended to make the Raceway more interesting! Aside from the Concrete Road, the Mario Circuit version of Toad Town appears to be accurate! Or maybe Toad Town is a lot bigger than we Think...

The castle outside of the Royal Raceway track is canon, if you follow the yellow path it looks exactly like it did in SM64

Thats true, but Princess Peach's Castle is in the Middle of Toad Town, but the City itself has a Huge Stone Keep around it, so it could be Huge!

"Toad Town" in MKWii could very well be nothing but a representation of it. Or maybe a small, unimportant village. In both cases the castle can still be a copy to make the background more interesting.
Due to how SMG and SMG2 contradict the fact Peach's Castle could be next to a racing track, I start to think the castle in Royal Raceway was a copy too.
