Waluigi hasn't been in any non-spinoff games at all. Nintendo should have put him in SM64DS, in my opinion. He could be unlocked after 150 Stars and his Flower Power could be...streching? Blank on that.

I think Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix will be his breakout role. He's supposed to be the villain or something, so this game could possibly make him more important.

Waluigi had a prominent role in MP3.

Really? I've only played a little bit into MP3, but from what I could tell, he didn't seem any more important than the other characters. Maybe there's something at the end of the game?

He has a board map in MP3, and that ties into the single-player storyine of the Star Stamps. He steals the Mischief one and you need to come in first on the map. It's the last normal map you play on in the story mode.

Well, since you have to battle most of the other charactes for stamps, I didn't consider MP3 a particularly huge role for Waluigi. But I guess it's all in how you look at it.

Even though Bowser is Mario's true enemy, Wario is like his spiritual balance, the Yin to his Yang.

Interesting idea, shayn. I wonder how deep their connection is?

The only thing Wario really did to Mario was the SML2 thing. The rest is his own adventures that Mario has no purpose in. Except Wario Land which Mario stole back the golden Peach statue at the end.
They appear to be friends of sorts in M64DS too.

There was also that obscure game Mario and Wario. And the opening cut scene where Wario & Waluigi team up with Bowser but end up being blown up with bob-oms...again.

There was a Nintendo Power comic book that showed Mario and Wario as children. Mario was unintentionally very cruel to Wario.
