If you don't like fighting type as a classification you could just lump those in with the normal types. They pretty much lack elemental powers anyway, so the're just normal. Just more normal than the other normals

But they are stronger than the normal types...

But their streghnth dosn't come from any elemental like power. Try thinking of two fire types. A really strong fire type and a really weak fire type. Even though one has a stronger fire ability than the other they are still both fire types. So just as in things with elemental powers, non-elementals should be able to have different streghnths and still be classified together.

Not really. Fighting types fight with a more stylized form of fighting. (i.e. martial arts) This would mean that they attack with entirely different moves, unlike the two fire types.

You could argue that DK's strength is completely normal, considering he's an ape. But Wario is far too strong compared to his body size to say there's not some underlying force. So in my opinion, the Marioverse does have Muscle-types. And if you apply the Pokemon-ish martial-arts argument, then both DK and Wario fit. But in the Marioverse, it's more a display of great strength than a display of fighting skills.
Note: Updates are slow because of school.

Don't dispair, Toomai. Under the Southern Cross, anything is possible ;D

...what? Anyway, I've just added your last contributions, but have some changes. - I didn't list Magic for most of the Paper Mario partners; sure they can do magical stuff but they need FP. Things like Fire Shell aren't natural abilities, and it seems like anyone can use FP. Sort of how a Grass Pokemon can learn certain Fire moves.
- The Fake Miracle Star didn't seem to actually be a bad guy. He was being called the Miracle Star but didn't want to disappoint people, so he set a task that he thought would be impossible, giving him time to find some alternative...I called him Metal because he looks as such.
- The Shadow Sisters I called Dark/element/Magic. Sure, they're mostly reformed, but they are "made" of darkness. (Also why Count Bleck gets that type.)
Also, I added the SMGxy bosses.

Well, they are "Shadow" Sirens, so shouldn't they be Shadow? In regards to the partners, I thought I did go overboard too. Your FP Theory makes more sense. You also forgot Topmaniac. ----------------------------------- In other news, I didn't expect you to understand the above referance. It's from StarTropics, and happens every time you lose all your lives (which happens quite frequently), with the small exceptions of being in all caps and saying Mike (your character is named Mike Jones) instead of Toomai. I even purposely left out the period, just like in the game. It is a REALLY good game, and is now available on the Virtual Console. I highly reccomend it. The "Southern Cross" is a mystical opposite of the North star. But I'm rambling now. Back to the topic!

You also forgot Topmaniac. No I didn't. Look harder. As for calling the Sirens Dark and not Shadow: the only real difference between the two is their degree of evil. You could technically have a protagonist who's Dark (example: Vivian). Shadow-types, while they have pretty much the same set of powers, are universally evil.

Yeah, I checked again. Sorry about that. My body was all messed up (I won't go into details) yesterday, so it was hard to focus. I'm getting better though. As for additions, I'll add some bosses as well. Burt the Bashful- Normal, Air (As seen when he is defeated) Salvo the Slime- Poison I suppose. Bigger Boo- Ghost Roger the Potted Ghost- Ghost, Plant Prince Froggy- Normal, Water Naval Pirahna- Plant, Water Hookbill the Koopa- Normal, Muscle Sluggy the Unshaven- I really don't know what to do with this one. He and his entire species (Unshavens) live in icy areas, but that's all I got. Ralphael the Raven- Normal, Muscle, Electric (remember the sparks) Tap-Tap the Red-Nosed/Golden-Metal King Bob-omb- Metal King Whomp- Rock Eyerok- Rock, and I also think it's heavily implied that it's a ghost. Big Bully- Metal Chill Bully- Ice Goomboss/Goomba King- Plant Cheif Chilly- Ice Koopa the Quick- Normal Ukiki- Normal Gooper Blooper- Normal, Water, Poison Mecha-Bowser-Metal, Fire Phantamanta- Ghost, Poison, Electric Eely-Mouth- Normal, Water, Poison Plungelo (sort of a boss)- Normal, Plant Chain Chomplet- Metal, Fire

I don't think salvo the slime or eely mouth are poisonous. They don't seem to have any poisonous attacks and if a yoshi eats a lesser version nothing bad happens to it so the couldn't be made of poisonous material.

Eely-Mouth definately has some connection as his plaque is deadly. You're right with Salvo, though. I was trying to avoid another Normal-Type.

Oh Eely-Mouth *double >.<*, I confused his or her name with Mr. Eel's name. There kinda similar you know... But I still don't think Eely-Mouth is poisonouse either. The plaque is caused by a bacteria that dosn't seem to be part of Eely-Mouth's natural life. I think it was caused by pollution caused deap undergrod or in another location connected to wear Eely-Mouth's habbitate is.

Well, I don't know who Eely-Might or Mr. Esl are, but I geuss you're right. We still need to think about Salvo though.

What is salvo anyway? Is it a bug? Is it a plant. The games seem to just refere to salvo and it's species simply as slime. Theres also stuff like vine slime and the colorful slime from Mario Party 1. Could they possibly be classified as water type? Vine slime always apears in damp places. Oh and theres also dew drops but I'm not at all sure of how closely related to slimes those are.

Don't know who Mr. Eel is either, sorry. Also, I doubt if it helps, but the small versions of him are called Lemon Drops in Yoshi's Island. I also don't remember the slime in Mario Party. Was it in a Mini-game? I apolegize for being so unhelpful.

There was a mini-game in MP4 called Slime Time, a single-button-masher. The slimes there looked just like Salvo, just more transparent.
In any case, slime is technically a gel (a colloid of solid and liquid). So I would call Lemon Drops, including Salvo, Normal/Water.

Oh that game was in MP4?... I don't know what's wrong with me... It's probably because someone deleted my MP4 data and I havn't been playing it But they do seem like lig\qued type creatures. Maybe there some kind of latter stage of a dew drop, or mayby theres no relation at all but dew drops are even closer to water and now that I think about it I kinda remember them being poisonous unlike the slimes.
