I thought I'd start a topic for these guys, since we haven't really centralized any discussion about them. Here are the opening questions: - Do they have any intelligence at all?
- Is there any real difference between Bullet Bills and Bombshell Bills?
- What about Torpedo Ted? Is he a modified Bullet Bill?
- What about the Bill Blasters? Are they remote-controlled or what?

Shouldn't this be in the technology section?

I always considered Bullet Bills to entirely lack intelligence... so I think it should go in technology.

I put Bullet Bills in Creatures for the following reasons: - They have humanoid names.
- They have arms, and they've moved them around before.
- They have eyes (and not just the inanimate oval-eyes).
I'll think about moving this to Technology, but for now I'll leave it here.

In the early games bullet bills weren't explosive, but this has changed in resent years. What I would like to know is, when did this happen?

They probably figured out that explosions hurt a lot more.

Yeah, but it sort of defeats the perpos of bombshell bills.

You guys are forgetting Bullet Bills never collided with anything in the old games.
I don't like the idea of gun powder in the Mushroom World (no bullets). But explosives could work on blasts that are heat/shrapnel/and air pressure. Bombshell bills just have a larger blast radius and are a little more powerful.

And what about the cannons owned by the bob-omb Buddy's? And sniffits and cobrats shoot out nightmare bullets, how do you explain that? EDIT: I accidentally wrote laughed instead of launched.

If you count it as canon, there's a Bullet Bill that talks in Mario Party Advance. How does the Bullet Bill item in Mario Kart DS work? How can a Bullet Bill transform someone and their kart into a Bullet Bill?

Perhaps the bullet bill in mario party advance was programed with AI. And the bullet bill item in MKDS, well that one is a bit tricky. Maybe it expanded and covered up the kart.

The MKDS bullet bill might have been a short-term transformation spell.

You don't need gunpowder to be launched out. Air pressurization, water pressurization, rubber bands

Why did Bowser only use one Bullet Bill Blaster in all of SM64?
