This topic was created to divert the Shroob discussion going on in the Lakitu topic.
Here is the topic so far:
1. shroobs=toads
2. shrooblets=goombas
3. swiggler=bio engineered wiggler
4. yoob=yoshi
5. shroob rex=rex
6. spiny shroopa=spiny=ancesstor of koopas
7. tashrooba= weird shroob/goomba/tanooki hybrid=blastfamy
8. shroobsworth=toadsworth=old fart
Should I make a topic about the shroobs?
shroob=toad
shrooblet=goomba
spiney shroopa=spiney
yoob=yoshi
swiggler=wigger (incidentally, it's name also refers to its weakness and job XD)
shroob rex=rex
shroob chomp=chain chomp
tashrooba=tanoomba
princess shroob=peach
shroobsworth=toadsworth
I think thats all of themBut isn't what you just said genetic enginering?
(I think)
(I think)I didn't mean you, but now that you mention it, I think bio-enginering and genitic enginering might be the same thing too, or at least verry similar. You might be talking about bio-machanical enginering.....
@ld: Well, they don't really seem to be doing that. I think they're mutating the creature...

Heres all the ones I could think of.1. shroobs=toads
2. shrooblets=goombas
3. swiggler=bio engineered wiggler
4. yoob=yoshi
5. shroob rex=rex
6. spiny shroopa=spiny=ancesstor of koopas
7. tashrooba= weird shroob/goomba/tanooki hybrid=blastfamy
8. shroobsworth=toadsworth=old fart
Should I make a topic about the shroobs?

Don't forget about koopeloens and the shroob chomp the second princess shroob uses in the final battle.wind said:
koopaleons don't look like shroobs at all.shroob=toad

I think the Shroobs, when they arrive at a planet, mutate creatures there to serve them.yoshi said:
I think that's the best explanation yet. And maby when the mutate lakitus, they lose their ability to ride on clouds. So the shroobs have to suply them with saucers to ride on instead. It's brilliant!jellyfloater said:
Or the saucers are more efficient.rex said:
They look just like regular lakitus, and anyone, even yoshi, can ride the clouds. And while it's likely that the shroobs mutated at least some of the regular creatures, some of them have to be native.yoshi said:
Well I guess it goes to the effeicency theory then. But why do they have to be native? Which ones? I guess shroobs worth and the shroob doctors and the shrooboids and the RC shroobers and thins like that would. But what else?rex said:
Shrooblets spring to mind, as they are the shroob equivilet of goombas. Yoob and swiggler seem to be robots, and tashrooba has obviosly been shroobafied. But as for shroob rex and spiny shrooba, I don't know.jellyfloater said:
Shrooblets are probably natives. And, Yoob and Swiggler aren't real robots, they are biomechanical. The Shroobs mutated a Yoshi and installed machanical parts so it could mutate some more yoshis, and they mutated a wiggler so it could process vim.yoshi said:
That makes sense. And just as tashroobas, I think everything else is just shroobified the same way.wind said:
I don't think they "shroobifiy" anything. I think they use an advance form of genectic engineering. yoshi said:
And the slang term of that is called shroobification..wind said:
Genetic engineering and shroobification are two different things. GE is altering the genetic code (the DNA) of a creature. Shroobification is turning soemthing into a shroob. Via GE Shroobs find a pregnant creature and add shroob DNA to the baby. Thus changing the creature's overal structure and making it a shroobrex said:
What about bio-engenering? You know, turning a creature into a cyborg the way they did with swiggler and yoob.yoshi said:

I said bio-engenering not genetic engenering, theres a difference.(I think)

I think they're the same, may be different thoughyoshi said:

I think he was reffering to bio-mechanical engineering.@ld: Well, they don't really seem to be doing that. I think they're mutating the creature...
yoshi said:
At any rate, Whatever it is that they are doing to the creatures, it dosn't seem like it would hurt anything by referend to it as "shroobification".rex said:
Yes I did mean bio-mechanical engenering. Oh, and didn't the shroobs turn people into purple mushrooms?jellyfloater said:
Yes, I believe they did.
