No, the ID yoshis are regular yoshis who have been altered by the vanishing fruit.
And on the subject of birdos, in SMA sometimes the red(or green, it's been a while since I played it) birdos say "I'm ready for you this time" suggesting that you fight the same birdo over and over and that it can change color.

Those Yoshi's are native to Delfino and thus a sub-species. They've been there for a very very long time if I remember conversations with some Pianta's.
There's more than one red/green birdo in the game.

Them saying "I'm ready for you" could just be because they heard about the other Birdos being defeated. Also, the Birdos explode. dead, methinks.

the SMS yoshi's are definetly native and a sub-species
As for the birdo line, there could be a birdo that "stalks" mario and fights him several times

Well we know theres more than one birdo because there's 2 in warts castle. And the birdos don't expload when they are defeated, where did you get that idea from?

Not explode as in Kaboom!, but explode as in, "They disappear in a shower of sparks and leave behind a magical pearl"

A Crystal ball not a pear, and as shown in the artwork they carry the ball.

The only place they could carry it would be in their mouths...

I was saying she could only carry it in her mouth/stomach as her hands are empty in all the games she's in.

If it was in her mouth she wouldn't be able to shoot eggs.

It didn't look like she was holding anything though....But I guess it might have been blending in or something. I still think she ate it....

I played SMB2 again and it's the green one that says "I'm ready for you this time" also when they are defeated they fall off the screen and the ball comes out of her mouth.
