Because the Boolossus Boos like spending their time in the large body, and talk in harmony, whereas the Atomic Boo Boos seem to spend alot of their time seperate, and doesn't the Atomic Boo attack by splitting boos from itself?

Well I havn't played in a while and I don't remember that attack but it would make sense to me that it would be harder to syncronize a group with more members who were also not as desciplined.

Like I said, Boolossus seemed to only be split into 15 boos with the purpose of scaring Luigi. He seems to prefer the larger form, also there are less boos in Boolossus, and most boos are a very similar weakness. Plus, Boolossus actually had a proper Name, while Atomic Boo seems more like a type.

Notice how boolosus dosn't try to attack Luigi until after the've combined and run away when theve been separated. But the boos at creepy steeple will try to get rid of Mario without combining. And there don't seem to be any king boos around that area either.

That's essentialy what I'm saying, except I consider Boolossus to be a single large Boo that can split into 15 normal boos. After All, he got a name, and not one of the Boos that make up him did.

Atomic Boo isn't much of a name. more of a species than anything. Plus, that boo that leads his friends calls himself "The Creepy Steeple Boo". He's reffering to himself, and only himself, and he calls the other boos friends.

But I have never seen another Aomic boo anywhere. Plus, it can't really be considered a species if it is made up of individual beings.

Not species in the sense of the word, but it just doesn't sound like a proper name.

Though I'm sure that any group of boos could combine to make the same thing, and there could be more than one group of boos all combining to make 2 or more at the same time.

Just a side note, in Japan the species know as "big boo" (like in SMW) is called "Atomic Telesa" So I assumed it was just a little traslation error that got past the American developers, since you only fight him once.

I believe Boolossus is a single Boo, capable of splitting himself into smaller Boos. Each of these appear to be connected. But, Atomic Boo is simply a group of Boos that are able to combine.
