Uh, hi. This is the topic where we can talk about my fic, Journey Of Ten. I'd like all the talking to happen here so the story itself is easier to read (every chapter is a post). I got this concept from another board and I think it's going to work well. (If the staff don't like this idea, then tell me quickly!) As of right now, the Prologue is up. (If it's not, wait a few minutes.) I've already written the first few chapters, but the rest is still up in the air, so the updates might be a little slow. Enjoy the story! |

You have some great writing skills. You've set up quite an interesting story; I'm certainly eager to see the rest. Also, thanks for giving life to this dead fanfic board!

Souds interesting. I'm interested to see where it's going as well. Also, the location you're thinking of is called Yo'ster Isle from Super Mario RPG.

Well I've never really been a fan of elemental things. The whole Shadow thing sounds a bit cheezy and used. It's intresting but shadow? Come on now way too Ocarina of Time, and Lord of the Rings bookish.
These days it's always hard to find good original material.
Anyway don't listen to me I'm basically Simon from American Idol nice start.

I agree that the elemental idea is overused, but what can anyone do about it? And yes, the story does have some cheesy parts, but I can't write anything until everything before it has been written, so I sometimes just skip to the good parts and leave cheese behind.
In any case, Chapter 1 is up and the link from this topic to the story has been fixed. I'm not sure how fast I should post new chapters because I only have 6 written as of right now and I get writer's block frequently.
Yo'ster Isle, eh? Well in any case, Yosh'ter Isle is nothing like it. I mean, it's got a volcano, a mudfield, a desert and some geysers (as well as City Of Yosh in the middle).

I don't have anything else to do, so I'll put up Chapter 2. (Hey! A rhyme! *bonk* OW!)
I don't know how big this thing will get. At 64% through Chapter 5, I'm half done the 22nd page (Arial, 12pt). And the way it's going, I'll need at least 35 chapters. (This may or may not be an exaggeration)
Pretty insane.

I'm writing it as a video game, basically. Sort of like a Zelda game with Paper Mario things in it. It's also heavy on the humour. Anyway, Chapter 3 is up right now. In terms of writing, I'm done up to Chapter 5.

I'll post Chapter 4 now. For writing, I'm beginning Chapter 6. I'm also creating some images of what the areas look like. They will go in the Fan Art board when I have enough.

That's because you have, the name is the 2nd fire boss of Ocarina of Time. I didn't have any ideas, so I used it. In other news, I put up Chapter 5. The updates will be a LOT slower now because they're not pre-written. I'm putting the images in this topic. Every time I add an image, I'll put the link in the first post. |

'K, time for a progress update. Chapter 6 is about 10% complete. Rest of the story is about 20% finalised (nothing written but detailed storyline created), 50% drafted (general ideas made), and the remaining 30% is still unthought of. On the images front, I'm rendering the boss characters. 4 are done, but none can be shown yet. It's getting there.
