The Star Road and Special World aren't. They're not on any of the Dinosaur Land maps.

But there secrete and no one is soposed to know about them. So they could be a part of it. Or... they could just be part of some alternate dimension or something. but since all the Star road portals lead to Dinosaure land and don't apear to be connected with anything else, I think it might be safe to say that they are closely connected and related maybe even enugh to call Star Road "part" of dinosaure land. :/

But that isn't true. We know that Star Hill in Super Mario RPG is the closest point to the Star Road; therefore, it can't be in Dinosaur Land, because Star Hill isn't part of it.

The existance of portals doesn't mean that the two landmasses are nearby; in fact they could be on opposite sides of the globe.

Well if that meens Star road can be seen or percieved from another location then that would meen that it is part of whatever place that is, I still havn't been able to play SMRPG

Oh please, let's not do this random bickering that a place is different when it's not. Technically, there is no proof either way, but the Star Road in SMRPG was based off the one in SMW. When it's a holy shrine on the edge of Mushroom Earth, they're not going to build it for no reason. MBY: But, as you say, it can also be reached from 5 points in Dinosaur Land. I don't think it's part of anything. It is on the edge of ME though because of the moon in the background. I think it's safe to assume the Special World is either an in-game thing or in another dimension.

Considering Star Road is up in the sky, I don't think it belongs to anything in particular. Also, it seems that one can reach it from many different areas of the world. So it's probably a fairly big place. After all, it is called Star Road, so it might stretch all over the world.
As for the special world, it seems like the developers just could find any place to fit those extra levels into dinosaur land, so they just stuck them at the very end as a bonus.

It's not at the very end. You could go there before going to the Vanilla Dome if you wanted to.

Bowser is the rightful ruler of the Dinosaur Land.
The place is probably is a safe retreat for his forces, since the Sunken Ship is the one from Super Mario Bros. 3, and is conveniently sunk right at the entrance of the Valley of Bowser. His castle is at the core of the Dinosaur Land, and of course, the koopalings have their own castles, helping defend his father's. Peach just happened to choose the worst place ever to take a vacation.
Edit: I got this from Tvtropes
