Thats just because they are similar in alot of ways. you guys have to use camera angles and "place of explorage" to think that YI and SMW are the same. IMO,if you have to change the game to find it,it musn't be true, and you guys are doing that by mentioning camera angles and other things that would totally change SMW. I think nintendo ment for YI to be it's own island, you guys just don't think that maybe YI and SMW can be different ,it's not gonna be the end of the world if their not. another thing king goomba and goomboss look the same, yet are two things entirely. 1.why did nintendo give them the same name if there seperate islands? ;D 2.goomba king was probobly overthrown after paper mario which is why he is now called goomboss.

I still don't like the idea of the island drifting off...
A chunk being transported to the area where World 6 is in SMW2 yes.

World 6 is not an island,it's part of the koopa kingdom(I don't like to call it dark land).

Ummm. Wich world 6 are you talking about? Anyway, I think that it's probably more likely that Yoshis Island was sunk or something. Actualy, I think a fairly large dome was built over Bowser's remaining salvageable castles then he had the Island sunk to make himself a new undersea headquarters. Or perhaps there was a natural desater that caused it to sink and Bowser was able to protect his castles before it was too late.. Then latter, in Super Mario Bros 3, one of the defeated airships tries to make it to the undersea base but ends up running out of power and crash landing near the secrete entrance instead. Then the ship sunk along with the key to the entrance. Of course I guessing all of the ships probably had a key to that entrance, so they never bothered to go back down and retreive the lost one. All that might explain how Bowser could have gotten those castles down there. Notice that there are the same number of castles in each game. I can't remember the number of forts in SMW but it might also be the same as the number of midcastles in SMW2. Vanila Dome and the Dark Wold under Dino Land could possibly just be exstinct hollowed out volcanose. But then again

It wold be pretty hard to get all of the materials in there to build new castles, unless they mined out and refined materials right there inside the structure. More likely Bowser built structures on top of onse that were in danger of being sunk. After that he moved most of the other castles and forts off the island.

Are you saying that world 6 in YI is actuly the valley of bowser? Impossible, Yoshi's Island world 6 had a sky/sun/stars. All the Valley of Bowser's levels are in caves.

I assume it was Bowser's main castle, the one in Darkland...then again, was the valley of Bowser really underwater? there was lightning in the backround, and you can have weather in caves...

Well. I would say that the Iggy's castle that Rex is talking about used to be the World 6 castle from YI2. But then again, the Lightining that PDoogan mentioned is preatty strange. But all the levels down there do occure in an underground location...Special effects maby?... While we're on the subject of strange underground weather patterns in SMW I might point out that in one of the Vanilla Dome levels theres a level where you can clearly see the sky....:/
