Overall, a great map. Good job.

Sorry I haven't posted lately I had no power due to the hurricane. Yoshi Mastar's map is good but it's seem everything is spaced a little too far apart.

I know but if you think about it shouldn't they be spaced apart? They're islands after all. Here's the Dinosaur Land map: img499.imageshack.us/img499/586/dinosaurlandmap3vp.pngSorry I didn't put more detail in but I was in a hurry. Your maps are more physical while mine are topical.

You really didn't need to make that map. I've seen pictures ripped directly from the game of the entire Dinosaur Land map sprites.fireball20xl.com/Nintendo/mario/mario-smw-main.htmBut thats pretty good. Yoshi's island looks a little weierd for some reason. I have another map of the Mushroom Kingdom I made. i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/lucipep/mk.jpgHey, pdoogan, is the PM landmass on your map? I can't seem to find it. About the Paper Mario map, I think Grassland is the Paper Mario map. They look simalar. (At least the SMA4 world map dose.)

Glad to hear no physical harm came to you and yours, pdoogan. Those hurricanes have been a menace lately.
Anyway, I was just confused, YoshiMastar, because your map doesn't have the PM Mushroom Kingdom labled as being from PM.

Well the Mushroom Kingdom is based off the map in Paper Mario, cus of Lava Lava Island and the river in the middle and stuff. I just felt like doing Dinosaur Land. And you shouldn't use photobucket, after a while pictures on the net won't show for some reason and the size is way too limited. Use image shack instead. Use the "direct Link" code near the bottom when you uploaded a pic. And do you guys like the SMB3 area layout? www.imageshack.us/

YoshiMastar and Pdoogan, how would your maps look as globes? Where would each continent be positioned on the surface of Mushroom Earth?

Um, as how they are.
What do you guys think of the SMB3 area?

I made all the land masses drawn to scale so I guess you could just wrap it around and thats what it would look like (minus the curviture of the planet verticaly). I didn't bother doing the poles, altough I'm sure it's cold enough for them to exist

...You know claws's post got me thinking...a globe how could I make that... And the it hit me, so I pulled out my old trial version of Rhino 3D imager and made this: img5.imageshack.us/my.php?image=globe9gd.png (I didn't think it could work!)

Only one problem. It looks that the planet in that picture is really tiny, meaning a different gravity than Earth's.

Well I don't know how big it should really be. You could just imagine scaling up the size to about that of the Earth, it's would look the same. Then again, mabey the Mushroom World is smaller than Earth.

Then again, mabey the Mushroom World is smaller than Earth. In that case, it would have to be denser to get the same gravity.

That does look more realistic then the first planet.

The areas just seem too huge for Mario to journey across in a matter of a few days. Can you make the sphere bigger and not the areas?
