They're pretty much the same as humans in every way.

Well, there really is no "human" culture. Every nationality and ethnic group has their own culture. So, the question is: which one does the toad culture most resemble?

It seem rather generic. Nintendo didn't bother to spend a lot of time filling in the text bubbles with anything that you really didn't need to know. I would have to say it varies from place to place. though how I don't know.

Distinct places on Mushroom Earth resemble certain Earth cultures; Dry Dry Outpost obviously have a middle eastern feel about it.

Yeah there Toads and that mouse species. They're just wearing turbans.
In a recent notice the Bobombs in snowy Fahr Fahr Outpost ( PM2 ) talk Russian.
The sailors in Rougport talk, well, sailor like.
"Oy! C'mere mate!"
Or Austrailian.

I find it strange that the way some characters talk, mirrors that of some Earth cultures, considering they aren't even in the same dimension. But I guess you can't really blame Nintendo, It's not like you can create a new culture from scratch in the time it takes to make a game.

Humans in the Mario world from other cultures could have affected the various creatures in some ways.
The Don Pianta guy is a spoof of the Godfather.
"What's dis den? Are we in understandin of each other?"

Maybe these Mushroom Earth cultures that resemble Earth cultures were at some point in the past influenced by individuals from Earth. For instance, maybe a Russian somehow found his way to Fahr Fahr Outpost years ago and lived with the Bob-ombs there.

A single human would have to be increadibly influential to change a town.

It could have been a group, then. Or maybe these unique cultures naturally developed (as they did on Earth), and they just happen to resemble some of our cultures.

We don't know how many humans have entered the Marioverse in the past. Great numbers of "settlers" may have been very influential on the indigenous natives.

If they naturally developed on the Mushroom World, the "humans" that lived there wouldn't share any culture similaritys with those who live on Earth. The humans would have had to come from Earth in order for Mushroom World cultures to resemble our own.

Have we decided that human settlers from our world caused the cultural variations we see on Mushroom Earth today?
