I can always wait for the Revolution to come out. Then I could just download it.
As for the lands of the Marioverse, there is definately a living presence there.

Sega Channel was a pay service provided by Sega for Genesis owners. Basically it was like a cable hook-up that fed into a custom game cartridge, and it would give you a selection of literally hundreds of different Sega games to play each month. It was a really brilliant idea; I'll try and find some more info on it.
