I forget--did the axe cause the bridge to break apart or merely fall? The former would imply that the axe was a switch and the latter that it was just a weight that dropped on the bridge (or something like that).
We've had that discussion before, though.

Then I guess it was a switch that looked like an axe.
What were we talking about again?

I always assume it was narrow. If it wasn't why would Mario need to wait for Bowser to jump in order to get to the other side. Bowser was probably planing to push Mario into the lava too.

A narrow, switch-operated, collapsing bridge.

Jeeze guys, the axe is just what it looks like, an axe. There is even a chain holding the bridge up, just waiting to be broken by the axe(not in the NES version because of bad graphics) the last picture proves it. Do you guys relize how silly an axe shaped switch sounds, althoue admitadly in NSMB they used an !-switch instead of a axe.
Another thing, the tattle for pokeys seid they were cactus gholes not ghosts, a ghole is not a ghost, it is a demon sort of thing. This leads me to belive that pokeys are natraly exsisting.

Skull on the switch my friend. Ghosts are considered demons in some cases

I guess you could argue that King Boo took control of Bowser's body in LM. Most poeple say it was just a suit, but I recall hearing somwhere in the game that Mario was said to have "soundly defeated Bowser" or somthing like that. So the Bowser at the end could have been some sort of zombie puppet monster...type...thing.

I honestly don't think a boo No matter how strong) could possess bowsers body AND have it's head fly off AND spit ice out. Also doesn't possession require to be IN the body. If it's out than it's mind control and you can't mind control a corpse.

How did King Boo get out of that painting anyway? For SMS and other games?

That depends on wich game you think came first in METL. Alot of us assume that Gadd hadn't caought King Boo before LM and he had just been saving a spot for when king boo was finaly caught.

LM is directly contradictory to SMS. If SMS indeed happened first due to King Boo being in it, then how do you explain how FLUDD was made? He said that he was studying ghosts for 20 years, right when Luigi gets there. This leaves no time for inventing FLUDD, and even if it did, no one could have delivered it to Isle Delfino. E. Gadd is not one to abandon something and come back to it later. If he abondonds something, he's never going to come back to it. This also proves that Mario & Luigi are in their 20's, since he left during PiT.
