When does it say that? The only things I can think of is the fact that Bowser Jr. and FLUDD mention a "Strange old man in a white coat" and that the nozzles are said to be from Gadd Sciences, inc. with a logo similar to E. Gadd's head, ect.

SUper mario sunshine could have taken place long after luigi's mansion in which bowser could have released boo from his portrait.

Inventing a ghost-sucking vacuum probably takes a whole lot more time than making a robotic water pump.

He made two upgrades though, the super poltergust 3001, and the poltergust 4000.

Bowser couldn't have brought King Boo back. There's no way he could gain access to E. Gadd's technology, plus Madame Clairvoya said he was "soundly defeated," which wasn't the case in SMS. Besides, Bowser would just forget him and get new minions.

Just because he got defeated dosn't meen he can't come back. And King of all boos who can lead all the boos sounds like a preatty important minion to me, but I don't think Bowser had anything to do with bringing him back. The other LM reference in SMS was inside the airducts of hotel delfino. I forget what it was exactly, and I'm not sure if it was one of those foueth wall jokes are not. But it would be a lot less confusing if we first figured out wich game came first. Shouldn't be that hard to just look up somewhere. I might go try to look something up now...

Oh yeah, I remember now, the janitor mentions "someone should get a vaccum and suck them all up" or something like that. Clairvoya expressed a great deal of shock when she found out Bowser was still a threat. Besides, being defeated is different than be soundly defeated.

Then what's the difference?..........

Being defeated means you can come back. The adverb soundly means you won't have to worry about it again.

madam claoriva is a ghost, chances are she heard mario had neat bowser from SMB and dind't hear the other times bowser attacked :\. Besides, if bowser was truly dead, than LM would be the last game in the marioverse timeline

Not dead neccesarilly. Just weakened to the point of not being able to not make any big attacks. Clairvoya probably gets most of her information from fortune telling, not anyone telling her. So she would know of the other adventures of Mario. And you're exactly right with the timeline thing; this is a big part of why Luigi's Mansion contradicts everything. Because this is the first time E. Gadd met Luigi since PiT. (which is understandable that he could have forgotten). Since Bowser attacks in both of the Mario & Luigis and E. Gadd knows who the Mario Bros. are, it creates a big paradox hard to break out of.

But if bowser is just weakened and not dead, that means he can come back.....

Weakened as in politically. To the point of him not having an army anymore.

Bowser will always come back, even if you kill him he will come back as a dry bones.

The lava thing leads me to believe that the potion was also used in SMB. This is why I said he wouldn't be dead, just such an unsignifigant part of the world he's not worth thinking about.

If you defeat the bowsers in SMB with fireballs, you will see they are just regular enemys transformed into bowser copies.
