Maybe they planned on inhabiting it or, most likely, investigating it.

Aldso in Paper Mario in Toad Town Tunnels there's a pipe that ends up in Shiver City, way on the other side of the map.

Now what about the fact that you can stand on the "hole" part of pipes in certain games before/after using them, but not in other games?

8-)yeah hes probably standing on the edge waiting for the command to jump down it Except in the Paper Marios it's quite clear that he's standing on nothing.

Maybe the director of the play meant for him to be standing on the edge.

That's just a game glitch.

We know that the events Paper Mario portrays did not actually happen in a paper world, so some of the things we see (such as character interaction with the environments) did not happen exactly as the play showed them.

but maybe they could've made paper mario cuase its in an alternate dimension to the normal mario world maybe thell make a game where mario teams up with his paper version through some strange inter dimensional portal or or something the skys the limit for the mario franchise and i think thats wat draws us gamers to it.

I'm betting Paper Mario will make an appearance in Smash Bros 3. But that's neither here nor there. ^_^

About warp pipes, the prechosen area always has a yellow Mark on it. One thought is... How would the pipe go directly through it without breaking the yellow mark, or making it break?

I'm not sure if I know what you're referring to. Could you post a pic, by chance?

I can't find any pictures... I'll try to describe it..
It's a yellow sqaure that is just one flat sheet on ground level, it seems metal with a tiny black dot on each corner (In my thoughts, bolts), they are where the pipes come up after you hit the switch.
And on account of an entirly different subject... In Super Mario 64 and SM64DS, Mario, and his friends all make warp pipes in the very beggining of the game, and then they go back into the ground. Portable warp pipes would be a pretty cool theory for that I think, ;D
