I'm a little suprised we haven't started talking about this already. For the purpose of getting discussion going, here are my opinions of what I've seen and heard so far: - Rumour says that Nintendo hates you for using the Classic or Gamecube controller and therefore took out "certain maneuvers" from these control schemes. This better be false.
- I have reason to believe that about half of the retro tracks are fron Double Dash!!. Very unbalanced.
- Nintendo apparently thinks that adding four racers (12 per race) forces them to double the width of every track. This makes pretty much every retro course look huge.
- Character opinions:I've heard Rosalina is playable. That's fine with me. There're also rumors about Funky Kong, which I'm iffy about. But Dry Bowser and Baby Daisy? That's just adding characters for the sake of adding characters.
- I'm glad they took out snaking by changing the miniturbo mechanics. That being said, it doesn't seem as fun.

Baby Daisy? Seriously? Oh wait, I understand. They need a partner for everyone. I'm willing to bet Dry Bowser will be Dry Bones' partner, and Baby Daisy will be Baby Peach's. Polari will probably be Rosalina's and maybe...I don't know...Cranky Kong for Funky.

What I don't like about baby Daisy is the fact that she looks identical to baby Peach, considering their adult form don't looks identical. Baby Wario would have been a much better idea.
Also, how does one explained how Bowser got cloned and the died? I mean, I know it's a reference to NSMB, but Jr. brought him back to life, original skeleton and all.

I'm really starting to worry about the development teams at Nintendo. Baby Daisy, Funky, and wait.... Dry Bowser? This game's gonna rock now though, because they've imporved online with no snaking.

ROB doesn't need to be in; That new skele--- person would be the new WTF Mario Kart character.
I hope they make a MK with every single Mario Kart charcter, including the Namco racers from Arcade GP 2, Tomagatchi Guy, Blinky, and the Pac-Peeps.
DKJR needs to meet ROB. =P

But he isn't an awesome obscure reference like ROB is. He's just a random alternate version of two existing characters, which apparently is all the rage nowadays.

Also, where in the timeline does this occur? Is Bowser still a skeleton for some reason, and the "Bowser" Is a clone by Bowser Jr? Then that means New SMB, MK Wii, then SMG...
Well, it's coming tommorow on my shores. I can't wait, though I can wait more than the wait for Brawl, of course.

If you even count it as canon, Bowser probably used a time machine like we decided Mario used for the babies.

Well, that one's a lot more logical.
I count Spinoffs in Canon, because the tournaments could be some huge event in the MK olympics or something, (and M&S was one of them) and the villains would compete to win the prizes for their lands or just to mess the others up. Or at least ranodm sports tounraments.

M&S is kind of a stretch...not onlu does it involve a huge crossover, but them both getting to Beijing...in the FUTURE with no humans broadcasting it, yet an audience filled with thousands of people...yeah, iffy.

Perhaps it's not really "Bowser" as we think of him but a reanimated armored koopa the looks similar to Bowser. It's just that no one can really tell since Drybowser has no skin.
I do belive the two have slightly different hairstyles as well...

Yeah, Dry Bowser does look way different from the New SMB version.
A relative of Bowser, maybe his father?
I got the game, at first it felt weird, but it controls perfectly! The Wii Wheel and Wii Zapper both work perfectly. I bet the Wii Balance Board will be better.
