This is great news. Although it's not really rational, for some reason I just want Sony to fail. Let Nintendo bask in some of the glory. I'd much rather see the 360 on top than the PS3.
Anyways, I'm thinking this will be one of the best launches in recent Nintendo history. I mean, Metroid and Zelda at launch? That's a recipe for success.

Well, mathematically:
Launch power = Zelda + Metroid + Mario + Smash Bros + (days before PS3 launch / 5)
which becomes
Launch power = 1 + 1 + 0 + 0 + (x/5)
where x is unknown until Nintendo chooses to reveal it.

Neither is SMGxy. That's why they were calculated as 0s in the numerical example.
