I can't decide if the 8-bit stuff is a creative choice or an ugly corner-cut. Sure, retro is good, but save it for the trophies, eh? These ARE trophies, assist trophies that is. |

Ness still has a chance. Lucas's moves look different. Resetti is probably starting another Nook war. Fox's, Poke'mon Trainer's and Diddy's Final Smashes are all cool. Co-op mode! Awesome! Snake's stage is cool and stickers won't replace trophies. I think I covered most of the big stuff. Oh, and Tourney's back. Hopefully it and Co-op are online.

Hmm....I can't believe I beat you SG in posting the new news on today's update. Well any, Sonic is confirmed for Brawl. At long last, the question of who is better, between Mario and Sonic, can finaly be decided.

I'm no fan of 3rd party game crossovers, But I guess I'll make an exception for such and epic game.
I don't know. Adding Soinc in with a buch of classic Nintendo characters just seems so...wrong. Even Snake was pushing it.

Hey, guess what. Nintendo's increased the waiting time for this game by 43%. It's been delayed nine weeks. But on the plus side (according to IGN's videos and written impressions): - Return of entrances
- Smash Balls float around and take damage, be the one to break it
- Minor alternate costumes (Dark Link, Dark Meta Knight)
- Assist Trophies are thrown (I believe)

Sonic is a good choice. Simply adding him will get many people to buy the game. I just hope that there isn't more than four 3rd parties. The release date sort of sucks...on the other hand, it means we'll get that much more content. Also, the video (not Sonic's) reveals some Poke'ball Poke'mon and a few moves. Also, Dixie Kong's appearance may point to her. then again, there was a banana man whose name I do not know there too. Also, Camera mode's now not a mode; just use the pause screen. A lot more or a lot less annoying, depending on who you're playing with.

Today's update: New Pork City. As big as Hyrule Temple, but it doesn't look as fun somehow.
And check out some of IGN's new gameplay videos...Bowser can suplex like he's made of marshmellows.

Heh, Peach's Final Smash creates a sleep wave. And about twenty peaches.
Of course, this raises the question: Can you be put to sleep in the air? Both SSB64 and SSBM say no, but with the "improved air combat", maybe? Such would allow Peach to instantly KO anyone who's not over the stage.
EDIT: Ooh, GameTrailers.com's got some pretty sweet Subspace Emissary cutscenes.

For me, this was one of the most diappointing weeks. Meowth and Lil' Mac both had good chances and neither made it. Oh well. At least Home Run Contest is improved and Peach's Final Smash is here. Also, we know the Metroid stage (not from updates): Norfair. Lava replaces the acid and comes from the sides as well.

Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!! for the NES sold over 3 million copies worldwide, had global praise, and was mentioned heavily in the popular show Captain N. Don't tell me that doesn't deserve one character. Meowth is the 2nd most recurring Poke'mon after Pikachu in all forms of media. 'Nuff said.
Also, I forgot to mention we know Ike's and Sonic's Final Smashes. Ike does a sword combo and Sonic turns into Super Sonic. (Who didn't see that one coming)

A video today of DK, and also something more important: A neat PictoChat stage. Not only is this a cool concept, but the icon proves that some icons will be there without a representative. So Tom Nook has about a 1% chance of making it. That'll shut people up.

There's no proof that the DS won't have a representitive(although it is very unlikely). And as for the final smashes, we also know meta knights and zero suit samus's. When meta knight get's one, the screen go's dark and then he suddenly hit's the closest person with a upward slash. And Zero suit samus get's her suit back for hers.
P.S. We've known about sonics for at least a week.
P.P.S. Apparently nintendo diddn't think meowth and little mac were important enough to get in.
