How do all of you think this will turn out? It's probably not going to be like we originally thought it was going to be (being on the Revolution and all), but will it still be the second coming of Super Mario 64 that we have all hoped for? Will the gimmicky (debatable, I know, but you have to admit--it's quite possible that the controller will only have limited uses. But that's a debate for another thread) controller ruin this game? And, what's more, will it ever be released?

Consumers are gonna have high expectations for this game, so Nintendo is going to really want to go all out to make this game great...(it better be.)

I don't know anything about this game, but I'll still buy it even if it isn't good at all

I think Nintendo will have a bit of a hard time making M128 incredible as their resources are tied up with LoZ:TP right now.
As for high expectations, that's also a bad thing for Nintendo. I mean, everyone had huge expectations for Star Wars III are were probably dissapointed.

Why did this game get cancelled for Gamecube?

Nobody knows anything about this game. I'm not even sure if there is a reason why it was cancelled for the gamecube.

I heard this game was a rumor at first then others started to believe that it was a real game when it was never comfirmed by Nintendo in the first place

People saw the 128 Marios demo at E3 or something, thought it was the next revolutionary Mario game, and were dissapointed when Sunshine came out.

Who wouldn't be disappointed in Super Mario Sunshine, it's even worse that it's the sequel to Super Mario 64

I wasn't disapointed. My expectations weren't as high, considering it really wasn't a tree sequal to Mario 64. I don't consider Mario 64 DS to be a sequal either. More like a remake with added features.

I liked SMS. It wasn't revolutionary, but it was a solid and fun platformer. And if you read the Wikipedia article about M128, you'll see that Miyamoto actually confirmed that it will be a Revolution title.

There were some weird screen shots I found that were rumored to be from Mario 128 but I kinda doubt Nintendo would leak somthing like that. I might post them just for fun.

SMS was one of my favorite games,it wasn't half bad,it's just underrated.
I saw screen shots that suggested it was like SMB

I saw screen shots that suggested it was like SMB I'd say rumours, 100% rumours.

Yeah, there have been no screenshots. Just talk by Nintendo officials.

Just talk by Nintendo officials. Or rather, a lack thereof.

Yes, Event 28's name was a spoof on what the fans were calling SM128 at the time.
