The only thing I'm worried about in this game, is if they decide to use Partner in Time character design for baby Bowser instead of the traditional SMW2 model. That would ruin it. Hopfully, the PiT model was just Alphadreams idea, and Nintendo will go with the classic version.

This game is like a dream come true. I hope it lives up to the original.

The part where Yoshi can't jump-hurt enemies without Baby Mario is lame.

That dosen't bother me. The only thing that could possibly ruin this game, is if it's more like Yoshi's Touch and Go then YI.

They're saying that this could be the first good Yoshi game in years. Was Topsy-Turvy that bad?

It was an inovative idea, but the gameplay itself was rather dumb and it was much too short. And you couldn't even throw eggs! What kind of yoshi game dosen't have egg throwing in it?

And Touch and Go is pretty much a glorified minigame.
Not sure if anyone already said this, but Baby Peach and Baby Donkey Kong are both in the game, and they can ride Yoshi and provide him with different abilities.

That whole baby Donkey Kong thing really creates alot of problems in the theorys of some of the older games. I always assumed DK was originally from Earth. Dose this mean Donkey Koog took place in the Mushroom World? Combine that with the fact that Pauline is in Mvs.DK2 and it makes you wonder if Nintendo is trying to erase the whole Brooklyn thing alltogether. I sure hope not. Part of what makes the Mario story line so good is the thought of someone exploring a new land they never knew exsited. (Personally, I choose to belive the widely accepted story of the whole leaving the MK at as babies and grwing up on Earth unaware it exsists and then accednetly returning)

At first it appears that it might destroy our theories, but there are always ways around it. For instance, we could say that Baby Donkey Kong was somehow transported to the Mushroom Dimension, as he doesn't appear in the game until later.
The whole Pauline thing, though...

The only problem with that is it's wiedly thought that it was DK Jr. that is the Donkey Kong we see in the games today, and it's his father, that was the original Donkey Kong in the first game. So that would mean that the character in the new YI is really...Baby Cranky Kong? Boy, Nintendo, you are NOT making this easy...

Yeah, that's what I meant. Except Cranky and Mario have about twenty or so years between them. Mario's around fifty, while Cranky's around seventy. I guess we could say that a Baby Cranky from twenty years earlier was transported to Baby Mario's era...
So awkward. I'm just going to wait until the game comes out before I contemplate this conundrum further.

Mario's around 50? O.O

If time in the Mushroom Dimension passes at the same rate as it does in our dimension, and the games roughly happen in real time, then, yes, Mario is about fifty.

I always assumed he was in is mid-forties. He dosen't look 50 and if you do the math using a reasonable age of when he first came to TMK it pretty much works out.

Maybe it's donkey kong Jr. in YI2,cranky is beyond older the Mario, and I think that TMK has a diffrent time line then ours. of course DK has been shown to cross dimensions to Mario's so maybe this game will be like the start of his crossings.
