This looks really cool, and I'm loving how the in-game graphics resemble the series' official art. Glad they made the extra effort to not use generic 3D models.
The gameplay looks really interesting, too, although the whole interact-with-Luigi-outside-to-change-him-inside thing seems more than just a little similar to BIS's Bowser gimmick. Hopefully they'll be able to create something unique here and not too derivative of that game.
Also, I see Beanish people. Awesome.

Welp, I just beat the final boss a few days ago. I'll make this as spoiler-free as I can.
Anyway, 'twas good fun. Worthy entry in the Mario & Luigi series, and not a disappointing mess like Sticker Star. Graphics were gorgeous, soundtrack is the series' bet yet (dat Somnom Woods), and the world is lush and full of things to do and NPCs to talk to. The characters and humor really shine, and in addition to the new characters, plenty of old faces from past games return. Battles are fun as ever, and the game's new enemies are plentiful and have more complex dodge patterns than in past games. Battling in the Dream World is surprisingly fun considering you only use Mario; your Luiginary attacks are awesomely trippy, and controlling only one character allows for even more complex dodge patterns that involve moving Mario around with the Circle Pad. Also, this game has probably the best bosses in the series.
Game dragged on for way too long, though. Took me 37 hours to beat the game without doing any of the sidequests. Despite the massive length, it has pretty much the same amount of story as any other M&L game, which of course means that there's toooons of padding. You won't get very far without some NPC interrupting you to do some tedious hours-long task, or to find your way around an obstacle that's only there to make the game longer (looking at you, Big Massif. And Kamek.). Also, I don't think *at all* that the Dream World gimmick was used to its full potential. The way everything is explained is really mechanical and patronizing, taking the whimsy and wackiness out of the Luiginary Works, and overall the 2D platforming is pretty bleh. There's also a point in the game where you dive deeply into Luigi's subconscious and witness his insecurities about always being in Mario's shadow. Guess what? The plot point never shows up again. It's a shame that a game that deals with jumping in and out of Luigi's mind really has nothing to do with Luigi.
Despite my griping, though, it's a really good game. It didn't surpass Superstar Saga or Bowser's Inside Story for me, personally, but if you can push through the sometimes-painful filler stuff the game throws at you, it's a totally great game.
Anyone else have thoughts they'd like to share?

I hadn't heard as good reviews for this game as for BiS, but I got it a few days ago and so far I'm personality quite impressed. I think the biggest improvement is the smoothness of gameplay. No jumping back and forth between characters like the last two sequels. I was never a fan of that gimmick. This one feels. much more like the original M&L then the other two did...which is good.
I also like that they made counter attacks actually do a decent amount of damage rather then just a few points. And those cinematics for the giant boss fights look gorgeous! (especially in 3D!)
I still have a while to go to reach the end though, I only just got thru the Dozing Sands last night.

The following is a spoiler, but you still might want to know about it: SPOILER! You unlock a hard mode after beating the game. If you're a completionist with limited time to spare, you might not want to spend time getting 100% completion on your normal file and instead invest your time on doing that in your hard-mode file.
