I was at Comic-Con last weekend and got to witness some M.I.R.T. (Mario in Real Time) in action! And, well...did Mario just confirm his last name?  |

I still don't get the last name being "Mario". Just because it's "Mario Bros."?

The Comic-On doesn't prove anything. Unless Nintendo themselves say something then we will never know Mario's last name.
My personal opinion is that his last name is Spacelli but that's just my own fan-made theory so it doesn't count.
